i think id prefer to spend a couple years sailing the pacific in a large vessel that has a jacuzzi.  Nothing too fancy.

I hated my pool until COVID came along. It was a pain in the ass to take care of. The fence barely enclosed the pool, so in heavy rains crap - including dog crap - would wash into the pool, which would be green or brown within no time.

With three teenage boys around during COVID, I decided to hire a pool company to get it fixed up. Then I hired them to maintain the thing. 

I also tore down the fence and expanded the fenced back yard to enclose about an acre, using iron for the back fence so we could see into the woods.

Now we love having that pool, and my back yard looks like a paradise.

I don't get how parents of a two year old don't take every precaution to make sure their kid doesn't drown in their pool. 

Some accidents just happen and are truly unfortunate, but unless something completely unimaginable happened, there shoukd be some neglect charges going on here. It's not like a kid walking around and tripped and hit it's head and freakishly dies.
