Favorite Gaming Platform

Recommended Posts

If I had to keep only one I would keep the PC as my favorite games are either PC only or the controls are far superior on the PC.

However, I play more playstation games than PC games.

Honestly, it's my mini old school Nintendo. Preloaded with the original Super Mario Bros, 2, 3, Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, etc.

I love it. I also still love Wii, but that's because I love Mario Kart.

PC Master Race. Nothing against consoles, but not a good look for us over 50.

"Whatcha doing, honey?"  "Just working on the computer, dear."  (while shooting guys faces off in BF1)

A bear was sh!tying on a tree very close to me. I’m white and terrified of this black bear. He looks over at me, grabs me, and wipes his me.

Then threw me in a ditch. My fur was white but now it was brown like Sylvester’s. Bottom line, bears sh!t in the woods.

The PS5 is currently on sale right now at multiple locations.  I just ordered the digital only version on Amazon for $399.  I probably never would have bought one but with NCAA 25 coming out next month I needed to have it.

Anxiously awaiting for that game to release as well. I'm on Series X and from what I hear, no cross-platform dynasty mode. Would have been fun to get one running here.

The amount of video games adults play always amazes me.

Makes perfect sense.  The adults right now are the ones that grew up with them.  It was a big part of growing up for a lot of people.  The best part now is that we can actually afford all the games we couldn't as a kid.  The worst part is that we don't have the free time we had as a kid.

Ehh.  People grew up doing a lot of things that they wouldnt or don't do as an adult.  So I dont see your point.

If you never liked gaming then I can understand how you don't see my point.  It's not for everyone.

RDR 2 is one of the best games I've ever played.  So much fun.

Some people grew up doing a lot of things that they still do now as an adult. Having a problem with other people's clean entertainment choices as adults sounds like an old person problem when there is actually no problem to solve. You may want to relax dude. But that's your world.

It has nothing to do with understanding entertainment choices unless it's about something that is morally corrupt. I feel bad for people who condemn others for their choices simply because they don't like it. If I hate going to amusement parks (which I don't) I don't put those people down. Same with the beach, or jigsaw puzzles, or model trains, or going to music concerts etc. It's sad that some old folks are so burnt out in life.

I grew up playing video games like any other kid.  Sega, 64, ps2.  I spent many mindless hours playing when I was a kid with time to burn.

Some people lose interest or don't have the time.  I use to spend all summer golfing but now I rarely do it.  I don't harp on others for golfing every weekend.  I grew up fishing and now I've made that my main hobby as an adult.  It seems odd to be bothered by how others enjoy spending their free time.

I may go months without playing video games.  Usually it's during the winter when I don't have as much to do.  The only reason I'm buying a new console is because of NCAA 25.

Well then tell us how it has gotten to a point that it "amazes" you if it doesn't occupy your thoughts. Sounds like you are the one that needs "settling down".

Well, if you were in a thread discussing something you enjoy doing and I came in and told you how amazed I am that you still enjoy it, I would expect you to say something back.

Nah.  You can say you are amazed by the number of adults that go play golf with theit friends.  Why would that upset me?  (I golf)

So weird.

Ok I am wholeheartedly not amazed by thr amount of adults that play video games.  I apologize for ruffling your feathers.
