As i predicted, to create a dictatorship, you control the food supply. 

1.  Chicago lets criminals run amok.
2.  Businesses flee like grocery stores.
3.  Instead of fighting crime, the government starts creating government-run grocery stores.

Now if you disobey the government, you dont EAT.  This allows the government to strip your freedoms like never before and the people wont dare oppose it.  And that is endgame.

Retailers can't make money there, otherwise they'd stay.

So, the Chicago government is willingly signing up for a financial loss, because they feel it's worth doing anyway. Eh can't blame them for that; people have to eat and they also vote. I imagine these government stores/distribution centers will wind up like empty like Soviet era grocery stores but we'll see.

 This is Plan B. Chicago's failure is not arresting criminals, whose theft caused the retailers to flee in the first place.

And I’ve explained to him several times that I simply didn’t care about whatever it is that person was trying to sell. Voltaire has taken it as a given that I support this person when I don’t care. I’m definitely opposed to the white supremacists and I think the phrase “black lives matter” is true and entirely inoffensive, but beyond that I simply don’t go any further on the woke/implicit bias/anti-racism stuff. It goes too far and it’s a dumb move, politically.

We don't have open borders. We have waves of illegals overwhelming a border whose deterents include walls, checkpoints, border patrol and state police. Saying our borders are wide open is just right-wing hyperbole and catastrophizing, like saying our cities were burning in summer 2020 when only tiny percentages of cities saw the violence. Just because one doesn't embrace the "open borders" viewpoint doesn't mean one doesn't acknowledge that we have a border issue.

How do all those cats fit inside the cave you live in?  Foking NBC news, NBC!, has been showing video of the border patrol cutting openings in razor wire to let them in.  "As ordered by the Biden administration". The gates on the fence have been welded OPEN.

yup. only common sense to see that retail stores aren't going to sit and take this sh;t in the cities forever. they'll just be online ordering and pickup windows or vending machines or something. groceries stores will be tough though.

Alright, sorry. I sorta already explained it, but timscochet lectured me for telling Voltaire to fock off by essentially saying that Voltaire was beyond reproach as a poster. So in this thread I was saying is he really, because he’s just as bad as some others following me around insisting I know some guy I don’t because of his perception of my political stances.

He accused me recently of taking my kids to a drag show, which I never have done.  I called him out twice before he came back and apologized and said he was wrong.

At least he admitted he was wrong and apologized, better than the others, but he's still a troll like the others.
