Blue Cheese or Ranch?

Interested to see how many of you girls will get this wrong

Both are good with wings, probably go with ranch more often.  Other times, I want neither. 

Bottom line, some wings are always better than no wings.

Agree with the first part.  I also like blue cheese on burgers.  

I like ranch but whenever I'm given the choice, I always pick blue cheese.

I guess it also depends on the type of wing... buffalo= blue cheese.  i like ranch for others

 

also, burger for you... dressing or crumbles?  I don't mind either on a burger, just further down my topping list.

For those that don't know goldfever sauce:

 1/2 cup of Cattlemen’s BBQ Carolina Style, 1/4 cup Franks Red Hot, 3 Tbs butter (unsalted), salt and pepper 1/4 tsp each.

about as close to the 99's sauce as you will get.

Fair on both counts.  Definitely blue cheese for buffalo, because at the risk of turning in my man card, I don't love buffalo sauce -- I only eat it when a group orders them; on my own I'd pick a different sauce.  So the blue cheese, being a stronger taste, helps to offset the buffalo sauce for me.

On burgers, I think I've only had it with crumbles.  Decades ago I used to regularly get a peppercorn crusted burger with blue cheese crumbles at Fridays, I think.  Loved that burger.  Typically I'll go the bacon/other cheese route (not swiss), but blue cheese is a good change of pace.

I almost started this thread a couple of weeks ago, but googled it and found some interesting responses.

Anyway, Ranch for everything that it goes with. Blue Cheese is often not very good tasting.

I've got a cousin with Down's.  When she was younger, she used to dip carrots into ranch and just lick off the ranch.  This is my lasting mental image of you ranch lovers.

I get flash backs of school lunch.  Among other things but pizza day.  Kids just filling a pocket of their tray with the universal warm runny ranch bottle.  Dragging the pizza through the nasty ranch with every bite.

 Ranch always. I used to have to make ranch, blue cheese, thousand island, and tartar sauce at the restaurant every week. The cheese they use in blue cheese is moldy cheese and smells funny, so I go ranch.
