One of my clients is a large Anheuser-Busch beer distributor in upstate New York.  The Dylan Mulvaney controversy had a dramatic effect on sales and they had to lay off about 75 workers.  That woke stupidly had real world consequences.

That ad is a minute and a half long.  Not intended for widespread distribution.  Clearly intended to be an under the radar, viral type ad where people post it on low rent message boards to try to generate interest in the product.  Doubt it moves the needle.

They messed up and realize it.  I don't drink that swill, and not cause of the woke stuff, but if they can embrace that "frat boy culture" that made them the biggest beer around, they might get it back

They fired the head of marketing who was in charge of this. The public got out their feelings about that dude Dylan and trans people. The woke culture seems to be dying down. I believe a point was made, the message was received and things can normalize again.

There are so many bad macro beers that I find better than Bud light . Never liked it well before their stupid stunt. I went from an area that for my money had truly the best beers in MA/New England to Florida which has a piss poor beer game. I’ll take miller lite or a Modelo variant anytime over Bud light but it’s all subjective.

Honestly, if I actually liked Bud Light I wouldn't care one bit that a Tranny endorsed it, I'd still drink it. But the beer sucks anyway and the whole thing is more about the over the top Woke culture. 

But what were they thinking? What's the point of having a crossdresser endorse your beer other than being Woke? You're not selling more beer because he's endorsing it, so why would they do it anyhow? Horrible marketing campaign if anything.

I drank it out of convenience at parties or bars until the brand was co-opted by ghays.  I have not had a drop since and never will.  If offered a Bud Light, as a positive heterosexual male, I politely decline.  If it is the only beer available, I will drink water.

If I'm drinking a bad beer I don't want it to have much taste.  Miller is terrible.  My least favorite light beer.

The majority of beer I drink is made by local craft breweries.  So much better.

You're correct.  It was not a huge ad campaign directed towards the general public.  They were directing it towards a specific demographic to grow their customer base and some people turned it into a huge deal.  The group of people who hate cancel culture and wokeness decided to fight fire with fire.

I mostly drink Corona light, which is great IMO. For generic light beer, Miller Lite is leagues better than Bud or Coors IMO.
