wiffleball 4,640 Posted March 11, 2017 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/03/10/study-hillary-clinton-ran-one-worst-campaigns-in-years.html A new study by the Wesleyan Media Project has found that the 2016 presidential campaign run by Hillary Clinton is without a doubt one of the worst-run political operations in years. Interestingly, the directors of the study dispute the argument that “advertising doesn’t matter” in elections. Clinton’s failure to advertise in certain key states, they argue, was the biggest reason for her defeat by Donald Trump. The study also backs the view that Clinton’s focus on identity politics and emphasis on condemning her opposition contributed to a campaign message devoid of substance with no clear message on policy. MDC 5,891 Posted March 11, 2017 Hillary was a dwelt unlikable candidate with a ton of baggage running against a phony outsider / populist at a time when all the trends were anti establishment. If Trump wasn't a total clown himself it never even would have been close.

kilroy69 994 Posted March 11, 2017 A scare? Bernie would have beat her if it was a fair fight.this is why I no longer care about the Democratic party. They shot themselves in the feet over and over. Then want to act like it was an outside force that caused them to lose. It HAD to have been the Russians. Not that it was a bad candidate handpicked by the party. One that a lot of people simply did not like.

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted March 11, 2017 Bernie gave her a scare in the primary outta nowhere. Should have seen the writing on the wall and shift gears. Would explain why she rigged it. And her campaign was awful. Pointing at Trump saying "yeah but I'm not him" doesn't work obviously.
bandrus1 413 Posted March 11, 2017 I wouldn't say it was awful, that would mean she had something to offer and didn't campaign right. She literally had so substance and had no record to run on because her stance just blows in the wind.... awful human
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,584 Posted March 11, 2017 He would have beaten Trump too. so it could have ended up even worse then Trump you say thinking Bernie and his stupid 1% rhetoric is substance and would have accomplished anything is just plain stupid

BufordT 371 Posted March 11, 2017 and she took way too many days off on the campaign trail. Trump out worked her, pure and simple. He was out there darn near every day and he was 100% correct to mock her for taking so many days off.
wiffleball 4,640 Posted March 11, 2017 I will be honest, a bit surprised. The one thing we heard from even before she announced she was running was how almost preternaturally good Clinton Camp was at setting up a campaign. Incredibly organized, hit the ground running, etc. Really, more hubris than anything.
Hardcore troubadour 12,644 Posted March 11, 2017 As a new convert to the right, I have to say, I do not care for Paul Ryan. He's an Ayn Rand disciple and fixated on getting rid of or dramatically altering things that people like. I don't know how a guy who has shown zero ability to bring parties together rose to the level of leadership he has. Even Pelosi can get her cattle in line. He's a Koch brothers creation it seems, and he's not deviating from the mantra.

wiffleball 4,640 Posted March 11, 2017 Basically, HRC thought that she ran the Dem Party - which she did. So, scratch Bernie. And, Trump wasn't even taken seriously by his own party during most of the primaries. It was like Brock Lesnar suddenly fighting a shark.

The bolded is always a funny criticism when launched just at Hillary. You may not like her policy...but here message on police was much more clear and detailed. Trump's whole campaign was identity politics...condemning and bashing Hillary...and he had and still has zero substance or clear message on policy. Its amazing how unaware of that some of you are (well, not you, who claims to be libertarian but still supports people and policy that is not even close to that of a libertarian)
