I disagree. The kid was brought here, illegally, by his mother. Unfortunately, she died on the way but they shouldn't have been allowed to stay here even if she hadn't. After she died, his father was the only parent he had left and Elian was rightfully returned to him. The only issue I had at the time was using a SWAT team to raid the house and remove him. It didn't have to go down that way but his father deserved to have custody of his child.
