But... every link but one points to the same "study," a self-reporting survey from 10 years ago. 10 years ago we did not have the social contagion we do now. The seventh references an opinion article, not a study, and that article references... the Williams Institute.

The suicide rate among those who have already transitioned is directly related to their acceptance, or lack of it, by their peers. Transitioning is only part of the cure; the other part is society accepting these folks and treating them with decency and respect. As this thread demonstrates, we’ve got a real problem with that second part. But nonetheless if they don’t transition, and simply stay the wrong sex and hidden, they’re even worse off, and impossible to “cure”.

Sounds like Trump's health agency is calling for a form of the discredited "conversion therapy" which a total of 27 states, plus the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, have banned. From the link: The American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry has said evidence shows conversion therapies inflict harm on young people, including elevated rates of suicidal ideation.
