I don't know why I am asking this, I guess I was just curious whether Geeks are drawn to a certain type of car. I suspect most of you drive American cars but some of you are probably pvssies who enjoy the dependability of a japenese car or complete cheapskates who can only afford a korean car.

Myself, I'm an elitist snob who drives a european car and pays out the a-hole when something breaks. :dunno:

Don't drive often (< 10K in 4 years), but I own a Japanese car. Nothing against American cars, though they don't have many cheap, sporty options.

Yes, I am a pvssie who rides a bike most of the time.

Two American cars. Both completely paid off by March, I might add. :overhead:

What the hell does a young feller like you need two cars for?

Nissan (x2).

My company has corp. pricing with them, so it made it a no-brainer.

Wife has a Juke, I have a Cross Cab. Murano.

This is my first non-American car & love it.

My wife and I have three cars.

'06 Camry - best car ever. Amazing 32+ mpg, looks good, drives smooth, dependable. Of course, the wife drives it.

'98 Accord - paint is nearly gone just like all older Honda's in Florida  , but 28 mpg, and cheap maintenance.

'02 Jeep Cherokee - transmission issues, 18 mpg, a total money pit. I'll never buy another GM. Only own/use it for boat.

No. I drive the '04 with the 6.0. My son bought my dad's 2000 with the 7.3l last year. Only had 45K miles on it. That engine is bulletproof, my 6.0 not so much. Ford would still be using the 7.3l if not for the eco nutz.

I use a fuel additive every time I fill up.

I am an engineer for a company that provides support to oil and natural gas drilling. I drive around quite a bit between drilling rigs. The company I work for allows you to use the company truck for personal use.

There is no point for me to own a car. I would just end up paying insurance on something I would never use.

Volvo is not American, it's actually owned by a Chinese company now. Although the Chinese company has been very hands-off in running the company (they kept the old Volvo management team in place) and their cars are still made in Sweden, at least for the time being.

Drive a 2004 GMC Canyon (truck, 4door) that was my car I got when I was 16. Bought myself a 96 Jeep to d!ck around in and to have as a beach/friends/cruising in the summer car. It was obviously mega-cheap and I bought it straight out with leftover scholarship money. The truck is the one that'll be paid off in March.

Don't really 'need' two cars, you're right. But I always wanted a Jeep so I bought myself one. Have heard countless horror stories about them, but have had literally zero problems out of it. Truck too, for that matter. Bound to be pure luck, but I'll take it. :headbanger:

3 Toyotas;

Wife: 08 Camry

Me: 06 Tundra, 69 FJ40

This is our second Camry. Just very solid cars. I like the Tundra, but might go back to Ford when I get rid of it. My 96 F150 was a POS, but I think they're a lot better now. They can have my Landcruiser when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
