Common sense question....

Recommended Posts

Here is the deal. In Evansville Indiana today, two people were killed while riding a scooter. Thing is, the roads are extremely slick since we received about 5 inches of snow overnight.

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Two people involved in a serious accident Wednesday afternoon have died of their injuries.

Crews responded to an accident on Covert Avenue between Hicks and Professional Boulevard that involved a pickup truck with three people inside and two people riding a scooter.

Evansville Police say 26-year-old Heather Johnson and 42-year-old Joel Elliott were on the scooter, were taken to St. Mary's with serious injuries where they later died. Their names are not yet being released.

No one in the truck was injured.

Witnesses told police that the scooter lost control and was laid down on the road. The truck was behind them and struck them both. There was no time to stop.

The driver of the truck had to submit a BAC test per state law, but there is no suspicion of alcohol use.

Authorities had the road shut down for a few hours so they could reconstruct the accident.

Officials say the road conditions made it difficult for them to determine what happened since there were no skid marks because of the snow.

How in the fock can someone not know you can not ride a scooter in this kind of weather??? Isn't that common sense???

When we got storms we used to tie off a sled or large cooler to a car and drag eachother around the side road.

Fun times

Gotta love Indiana Hell's Angels.

There are tons of these things running around town. Nearly every week, someone gets killed or badly injured in a scooter accident. To risk it with the slick roads is crazy.

No focking way I would ride one of these things around town in the forst place with all the distracted drivers these days with their texting and driving. One time, I saw some D-bag reading a focking book while driving. Every time we got to a light, dude was slamming on the brakes about to run into the guy in front of him. Focking dumbass.

Lot of dudes have DUIs. However, many of thee guys just want one to save on gas. Not worth the risk no more than they drive anyway.

There are a lot of stories about folks on these scooters ignoring traffic laws and causing accidents too.

If your only method of transportation is scooter you may roll the dice (or roll the scooter).

Ban scooters

Might be more efficient to just ban stupid people, but then again, that might be regarded as genocide

A scooter is like a fat chick...they are both fun to ride until your friends find out.......or you get hit by a car while doing so.
