kilroy69 1,251 Posted September 22, 2014 Hot damn man. I picked him up a few weeks back and they all laughed at me. he was owned in 1% of all yahoo leagues. I am in a 2 qb league and started him today for 45points. There is NO way rg3 gets his job back. This is cousins team from now on.
MDC 7,484 Posted September 22, 2014 RG3 is too brittle, mentally and physically, to play QB. If the Skins are smart they go forward with Cousins and deal RG to some desperate sad sack franchise for a 2nd rounder. Awesome game down at the Linc today btw. Say what you will about Foles, that guy is tough as nails and a focking competitor.
dehaven123 31 Posted September 22, 2014 there were 15 throws into windows today that rg3 hasn't made in all of his gms combined. unreal accuracy.
hosierjoe 3 Posted September 22, 2014 Started Cutler this week after picking up Cousins yesterday. Yea it sucks seeing 50 points on my bench, but I made the right call. I had Cousins last year as a matter of fact he was my starting QB in the Superbowl. I really think this guy can be a QB1. I know he missed somethings today but with practice he will only get better. Â people act like luck plays a role in fantasy football, and sure their is some variability, but when people make moves like that it means they read up and they knew what to do and it paid off for them.

kilroy69 1,251 Posted September 22, 2014 if he had come out and faceplanted everyone would be saying ohhh he sucks against a putrid philly D. Instead he came out and lit it up like a qb1 should do and we are supposed to dial it back? He may not be a top 5 but a top 10 is very reasonable.

The Skins gave him the kitchen sink and he kept coming back. Great game.
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted September 22, 2014 RG3's day is over in Washington. Â Again, these gimmicky QB stands no chance against a solid pocket passer.

roroco 75 Posted September 22, 2014 Mark my words... RG3 will be back because of what he cost the Skins. I also think he is the only real jersey seller and Danny Boy will force him back into the line up. If that can't happen, then the Skins will draft another QB in the first round. Â I like Cousins better than RG3, but he is no stud.
doctorlw 0 Posted September 22, 2014 I started Cousins in 2 leagues and he is likely to win me those games this week. Â That said, over-reaction? Cousins is a high upside streamer option but that's it. I'm hoping Palmer comes back and plan to pair the two. Â This guy is not a stud. He went up against the worst secondary in the league. He has another matchup coming up that is pretty nice against the Giants before getting deaths row. The enthusiasm will be tempered by then a bit I imagine. If that can't happen, then the Skins will draft another QB in the first round.  I like Cousins better than RG3, but he is no stud.   yean if cousins is slinging it for 300 and 2-3 tds a game and the skins are winning games, they'll still go back to RGIII. Get real. If cousins plays even at 70% of how he played yesterday, RGIII is done in Washington. They won't pony up the money required to lock in a young qb. His career as a starter in this league is likely over regardless, and with the way he plays, he won't make an ideal backup for most teams either. Whether cousins is a stud or not remains to be seen. Too many flash in the pans that come and go, but he def passes the eye test. Has good pocket presence, and makes decent decisions. They have enough weapons on that team to make him successful. I think he has a solid next few games, cementing him as the starter, and RGIII is essentially done with the NFL in the next year or 2...
R8RMick 242 Posted September 22, 2014 I actually think RG deuce is the better pure passer, better arm, better delivery, more arm strength. If you watch Cousins play he has a little gitty-up in his delivery, where it seems as if he's getting rid of the football as he's hopping onto his back foot. I think it takes something off his passes, where he's not following through while stepping forward. Heard Kurt Warner point this out on ESPN radio on Friday, and it's readily evident watching the kid play. He's traditionally made poor decisions with the football too, more noticeably last season when his TD to INT ratio was 4:7. He also lost two fumbles. He made an awful decision yesterday on his one pick with Jay Gruden even pointing it out in the post game presser. Â Having said all that, he's seeing the field better as a pocket passer this season and definitely gives the Skins a better field general at the position. His offensive line played brilliantly, and his pocket skills probably better utilize the advantage they have up front over some other teams. They threw 40 plus passes yesterday with zero sacks. Philly's been awful against the pass, but I don't care if you're playing Curly, Moe, and Larry, that's pretty good. Â But it's all much ado about nothing, as I think RG deuce is effectively done for the year. With this injury putting him on the shelf for eight weeks, there's no way he'll get into shape to play at an NFL level, much less take his job back, before the seasons done. TimmySmith 2,782 Posted September 22, 2014 Cousins cannot be good because his 400 yards were against the Eagles. If he had 800, we could talk.
JT 137 Posted September 22, 2014 Cousins has clearly shown that he can be an NFL QB. I haven't read all the posts, but Top 5? Straight stud? Have you guys seen Philly's defense? Â Cousins wasn't pressured at all and the Eagles DB's badly missed their assignments on the Garcon and Jackson TDs. Â That said, he showed composure, wasn't afraid to take chances when they presented themselves, was very accurate on most throws and the team seemed to respond well to him. Â I hope somehow he blows it, and/or Snyder insists on keeping Griffin in the job. As an Eagles fan, I'd much rather face RGIII&Out for the next decade. GobbleDog 997 Posted September 22, 2014 In my league somebody benched Tom Brady for Cousins. Â Hell of a call, but he shouldn't try that again, which of course he will after this amazing week. I think he'll find out why that's a bad decision over the next couple games.
Dueces Will Be Wild 15 Posted September 22, 2014 He's a decent QB but most of his value is going to come from nice NFC East Matchups. I hope he's all out stud and carries me to a championship but he's going to have a couple of tough games after the giants going up against Seattle and Ariz. I think we'll get a better idea of where he is in a couple of weeks.

I'd start cousins over Brady in a heartbeat if I had that choice to make. FF is all about matchups, not momentum. It's why Sproles and McCoy did nothing after setting the world on fire last Monday Night. It's why Rashad Jennings will struggle this week after blowing up yesterday. Matt Ryan was awful week 2. How'd he do week 3? Each game is independent of the others and you focus on matchups. No such thing as momentum in FF. Â Starting Cousins over Brady wasn't going out on too much of a limb. Brady has scuffled the better part of two years. I could see an owner becoming fed up and opting for Cousins. Â Personally, I passed on Cousins....and am feeling a little sick about doing so. I'm a Romo owner who opted to acquire Roethlisberger over claiming Cousins. Partially because I didn't like the matchups weeks 5-7. He probably had his best game yesterday and won't be involved in a shootout every week. But he probably has a safe floor and won't kill me like Romo has the first couple weeks....though he was alright yesterday. Â I think Cousins will be a good QB but a straight up stud....top 5? If there is any such thing as momentum in FF, it's in people's expectations.
