dain11279 976 Posted November 23, 2015 Glenn coming back was lame. I'm aware that he's a fan favorite but the one thing that makes TWD what it is is their ability to kill off main characters. I'm sorry but there's no way he gets outta there without a scratch at least. That being said, I loved the rest of the episode. I look forward to them hopefully being on the run again. And like I said earlier in the thread if the spoiler about the midseason finale is true, whoa look out. Major spoiler!! During the attack, Rick Grimes, Father Gabriel, Carl, Michonne, Jessie and her children Sam and Ron are stranded in one of the house when the Walkers walk into the streets of Alexandria. It is said they attempt to escape and disguise as Walkers. They walk through the herd by holding hands. However, Sam fails to fool the Walkers and gets killed by one of them. Meanwhile, Jessie's attempt to save Sam forces Rick to chop her hand, leading to her death. This infuriates Ron, who tries to take revenge from Rick. He takes his gun out and attempts to shoot Rick, but Carl's attempt to save his father gets him shot in the eye and lose his eye. Michonne is forced to pick up her gun and kill Ron. TheNewGirl 1,491 Posted November 23, 2015 Rick: No practice firing guns because it might attract too many Walkers to one point of the wall. Meanwhile, 20 minutes later... Rick: I'm going to hammer really loudly while I put up these supports on the wall. Oh yeah... and that thing we all knew was going to happen... finally happened. YES. The hammering part got me too, but then I thought that the walkers are already just RIGHT THERE so maybe Rick figured, meh WTF? Glenn was good, I liked it and pretty much summed up everything I've read about him coming back and all of that. Next week will be interesting to see how it all ends...and also I hate mid-season finales. Come on.

Big Blue 06 195 Posted November 30, 2015 Just finished watching the mid-season "finale". What a pile of excrement! Who gives a sh1t about that annoying kid with the dirty room. I hope he dies. Nothing happened in this episode (nothing worthwhile, anyway). And can someone explain to me why this "finale" was only an hour while Morgan's boring-ass story was an hour and a half? This season started off with promise, but after 3 or 4 episodes, it's been sliding downhill, straight into the sh1tter.

This season started off with promise, but after 3 or 4 episodes, it's been sliding downhill, straight into the sh1tter. Couldn't agree more. Too many "Hallmark" moments with prune face and not enough of the good stuff. I swear I was cheering for Judith to get her head chewed off, when Rick popped in to check on Deanna. So, those of us with comic book knowledge, pretty much know where this is heading. I'm still not sure why they chose to end it there instead of finishing it out. Would have made for a better cliff hanger, IMO.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted November 30, 2015 Lame mid season finale. Nothing happened and all they did was tease real peril. Getting sick of cliffhangers for the sake of cliffhangers. The conflicts with Ron and Carl and Carol/Morgan are beyond annoying. I'd have smoked Ron right there if I was Carl and Morgan just needs to get eaten. His dumb no killing mentality has no place in the world.
nobody 2,673 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm tired of the carol bad ass story line. Some old lady wouldn't stand a chance against Morgan in a fight.
frank 2,307 Posted November 30, 2015 They should have had an escape plan even before the walkers showed up. Like if something happens we all go to this house or meet at this spot outside town. They certainly should have planned for the wall breaking. What they really should have done was have at least one tunnel that opens up outside the walls. Also, a way to make noise away from the town. Maybe a second tunnel they could go to the end of and shoot guns to attract walkers then go back through the other tunnel. For a few episodes, Morgan looks like Hong Kong Phooey, now he can't beat up Carol. Before they walked out through the walkers, no one really seemed even nervous. I was thinking, what if Judith starts crying, which I think a baby covered in walker guts might do. Then the dumb little kid starts talking.
Reality 3,121 Posted November 30, 2015 The kid with the cereal bowl hair-do can't get eaten soon enough. For a finale type episode, pretty meh.

TheNewGirl 1,491 Posted November 30, 2015 Mid-season finale meh. I think that if the most popular shows on TV are going to do the mid-deaon finale BS, they need to give us more. There are sooooo many shows that do this right now and while we do keep coming back to watch, I can see how it will lose viewers over time. Sorry, I don't know the chracters names, but the two kids that belong to Rick's girlfriend (the teenager and the young kid who can't stop focking crying), both just need to go. Esp the little boy. She needs to whip him into shape....esp that he's now TALKING as they are leaving the house. Use your focking head. Carl should have killed the other kid in the garage. As soon as he broke that window, BAM. I was expecting the Morgan/Carol thing to not come to a head last night, with both of them still fighting when the show ended, but that crazy Wolf guy needed to get out. I can't believe that Morgan let him live. Hopefully he learns his lesson. This "all life is precious" is a joke, at least right now in the world they are living in. Since this is also the third or fourth place that they've lived in and been over-run by walkers, they need an escape plan. They all always end up separated. The only hthing to maybe help right now is Daryll and those folks in the truck arriving and creating some kind of diversion, etc. I really really like this show, but I am getting burned out on the story lines and the mid-season finale crap. nobody 2,673 Posted November 30, 2015 I like how they gave the wolf dude their weapons for no reason. Option 1. You tell him to off. He can't go anywhere and if he kills the fat chick he's dead. Option 2. You give him your weapons and he most likely immediately kills everyone in the room since, you know, he's been saying that's what he was going to do. Kopy 568 Posted November 30, 2015 How can rosita not just shoot him in the head at that distance? I never understood that in movies. Thats what I was thinking. You're that close to him. He's got the hostage at a rather casual manner as far as hostages go. Aim and take the head shot. It's an easy take down.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted November 30, 2015 Ugh just keep thinking how that guts covered exodus needed to be in the middle and not the end of the episode. Its such a good opportunity for a tense confrontation and epic tragedy. also its such a good scene in the comics storyline it just needed to be fleshed out. Instead we dwell on the already screwed old lady and the pointless standoff with Carol and Morgan. Now they get to read people badmouthing the series for two months after they left us unsatisfied. The whole crew has been pinging head shots on zombies at a 99% clip for years. You're stable and aimed from 5 feet away. Big Blue 06 195 Posted December 1, 2015 Was the finale slow and left stories wide open? Wow, it's just like every other season finale of every show ever. Stories open is one thing. However, almost nothing happened in this episode. The wall came down at the end of the last episode. In this one, the walkers came in, but one woman, treed Maggie and that's about it. nobody 2,673 Posted December 1, 2015 Stories open is one thing. However, almost nothing happened in this episode. The wall came down at the end of the last episode. In this one, the walkers came in, but one woman, treed Maggie and that's about it. Interesting how they needed to reinforce the currugated steel plates that were bolted to huge steel I beams for fear the walkers would plow through them, but the rickety platform that Maggie is on that's being held up by a couple of 2x4's is solid as a rock. nobody 2,673 Posted December 1, 2015 plus walkers are attracted to sound. Why not build bridges between the roofs of couple of houses and set off some loud music to draw the walkers there. Meanwhile, survivors scurry across the rooftops of a couple of houses and get safely away? That's just one plan, and it would've worked, and my life isn't even in danger. You better believe if my life was on the line, I'd come up with something right quick to get my ass out of there. Sh¡t. Sit on the roof with a couple dozen home made spears and just start stabbing heads from a safe distance. This ain't even hard. Sure, you're under siege and ridiculously outnumbered by a force that doesn't sleep, but your enemy is highly predictable and limited in range. You have the benefit of superior weapons, tactics, time, and you have a sewer system under the town that you could use for maneuvering. Between the 20 or 30 people they had there, they should've been able to improvise ways to thin out that herd by 10's of thousands in a few days.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted December 1, 2015 Wow i didnt even realize they had a secret scene after the credits of the midseason finale and it ended up being the most important scene! Here it is, they finally set up some real conflict and name drop an actual villain, finally. This would have made so much more sense to be in the actual episode instead of where most people turned it off or the DVR cut it off. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2015/11/30/why-last-nights-hidden-walking-dead-scene-was-also-its-most-important/

IGotWorms 4,058 Posted December 2, 2015 Caught up today. 1. Dumb that Glenn survived. He's screaming his head off but no zombies go for him? Silly. But I'm glad he's still around as a character even though it's dumb. 2. Fock Enid. Who cares? Why the hell is Glenn wasting precious time trying to bring her around? 3. Glad the congresswoman lady is (presumably) dead. Hope the annoying Doctor wannabe gal dies too. 4. Why didn't they just shoot that W freak? Maybe annoying girl dies too, maybe not. He was gonna kill her anyway. 5. W freak was hellbent on killing everyone. Then he has a chance and instead...kills no one? WTF? I guess all of Morgan's silly sermonizing got to him 6. Knew that stupid little kid was gonna blow the silly zombie-guts cover. Was obvious from the beginning of the episode. 7. Season started off super awesome but ended kinda lame. Oh well, most seasons of the show have been uneven
