**The Walking Dead Season 6 Thread**

Recommended Posts

Disagree. First and foremost a show has to be interesting. A show about galactically stupid police in bumfock Minnesota isn't interesting no matter how great the acting is.

Guys killing zombies with machetes and trying to make their way in a post apocalyptic world as society collapses around them is interesting.

Thats the definition of an opinion, but I know what you mean. Fargo is on my watch list eventually.

It's an opinion like "a ribeye is better than a baloney sammich" is an opinion.

This post as a whole is also an opinion. The analogy within, although still technically an opinion, is much closer to being fact.

I'm sorry, Walking Dead is harmless fun, but it's also terrible TV for the most part.

I think we've been spoiled is all. Not every series can be Breaking Bad, The Wire, ect. TWD is not nearly as well put together as those shows, but it still manages to stay interesting and fun to watch despite this.

I think Homeland, Fargo, and Rick and Morty are the 3 best shows on TV not including GOT, which is really on another level. Trust me on Rick and Morty, it's a phenomenal show overall, not just for wacky humor.

Anyone that still has this on their DVR can go back and see how Glen gets away. That dumpster they were on, if you look back you can see it has enough room for Glen to slip underneath it. THat will be their out for this.

I am stunned at everyone freaking out over Glen getting offed. I am not talking just in this thread, everyone I have talked to is pissed off about it, I just do not get it. Glen never did much for me. I do not hate the guy or anything, but you would have thought they killed off focking Daryl the way folks are going on about it. :dunno:

From my point of view it was well played as I didn't watch it until Monday and I didn't hear who "died" only that the episode was a big deal. I assumed a regular was going to die.

Late in the episode both Glen and Michone were the only regulars in compromising positions (and Rick seemed like his hand was bit).

The suspense between if it was Glen or Michone was well written.

Yea he will prob roll under it. Still complete bull since they were swarmed with walkers who would be munching on both of them within a half second.

Late to the thread, but an awesome start to the season. I don't honk Glen is dead, though I can't see any conceivable way that he gets out of it. Even if it's not believable though, I'll still be okay with it since I really like Glenn.

1. Fargo is awesome. But so is The Walking Dead. The Americans is pretty good but hard to watch sometimes

2. I think Glenn is really a goner. It'll be focking retarded if he isn't

3. I weep for the dead chick with nice t1ts. We hardly knew ye. And is it just me or is Michonne looking kinda foxy this season? The actress has slimmed down for sure

I feel exactly the same about Glenn. I hope he pulls through but it would be pretty dumb if he did. How would one get out of that mess?

Michonne has always been solid. Do you think she was fat at some point? Maggie's looking really good again this season. She kinda lost it the last couple seasons.

No Michonne was never fat, but she had a little thickness to her (for an American tv actress). She's slimmed down a bit. I always thought she was fairly hot but she's taken it up a level this season

Cartoon Network. I watched a couple minutes the other night. Weird show, but it did look like it's probably pretty funny if you were to figure out WTF.

Also I read that Glen was seen in a trailer for this season with Rick and we have not seen that scene in the show yet.

Interesting to how they get out of this.

Could always be a flashback.

This show has been good at slight of hand previews and promos. This is one of those.

So last night I finally watched the 3rd episode for this season.

Glenn looks fooked, but I could see and thought the same thing watching it last night. He could survive.

However, Rick looks fooked too. And although I don't think he was bit, he looks like he's in rough shape.

I must agree with the others; interesting start to this season. We needed some movement.

An Adult Swim show with the usual crazy and weird humor, but with a lot of emotional depth and shockingly profound. Definitely goes way beyond what you'd usually see on AS, which is mostly what I like to call "Stoner Humor" which R&M has plenty of, too. Not to hijack the thread, but this sums up R&M pretty well  :

After watching the end of last week's show, it appears that Nickolas was clearly on top of Glenn.

Great show about Morgan.

I think the whole point of the Morgan thing is to again show all of the different internal struggles within the group. We saw a little with Rick in past seasons, and how he's all about kill everyone, you know? But Morgan is trying to show that you can be peaceful or whatever, but it's going to take an incredible amount of constraint. Even after telling the Wolf guy his story, it didn't change.

I think Morgan is going to try and take this guy on as his student, kind of paying it forward in a sense, but we will see how it works out.

You can completely skip the latest episode as it was a "special, Morgan only episode". It wasnt bad but I watch the show for the groups stories, not the tales of Morgan.

I think each season does this, from what I remember. There is one character that they pick, or the smaller group that consisted of Eugene and thosse guys and make it a "this is how they got here" type of show. It's slow, but it's all about character development and all of that.

I liked this Morgan one, mostly because if you don't follow the comics, or if all you do is watch this show, you probably think..." WHY doesn't he kill those guys?!"

Eh not really. I pretty much just assumed he didnt kill because of some dumb code he picked up from somewhere, wich is what happened. Dont recall that storyline in the comics, iv read every one. But I did like the actors in the episode and I like Morgan, just not enough to make me not dissapointed in the episode. It would have been better as an online miniseries, wich is something they should do for individual characters.

I often like these little side episodes, like the one with Carrol and the big black dude (forgot his name already, RIP) and the kids where they ended up having to kill the girl. But I wasn't very into this one. Morgan has just never been a compelling character to me

Iike the show, but the thing that bothers me is that they introduce ways to protect themselves against the walkers, and then abandon them. Like when they showed Michone with the walkers and their mouths cut out on chains. An obvious way to move amongst them, yet they never use it. And noise. It's obvious the walkers are drawn to it, but again, they don't use it to protect themselves. They have shown you can cover yourself in walker blood and they will leave you alone. Yet they don't use it. I think in a world full of zombies you would use what works instead of sticks and knives. And has it dawned on anyone that getting to a winter climate might be a good idea?

So true, they dont use the obvious methods. Id think you could do a good job of rounding them all up in a football stadium rigged with explosives. Play loudpeakers or something, make a ton of noise and blow it when its full. Im sure there are other reuseable ways to mass kill them as well. Since they can be herded so easily and predictably theres many ways. The bigger problem is the "everyones already infected" angle. This tells me its some kind of supernatural/biblical/magic thing going on.

Okay... I'm a little perturbed about this episode.

First, How the hell did Rick get out of the rv?

Second, WTF?!?!?!? Are we not going to address Rick's hand? From what it looked like, there's no way he didn't get zombie goo in that cut, and if he did... well... a couple of band aids isn't going to fix it.

The whole thing with Maggie was just plain dumb, IMO. She's hell bent on going offer Glenn, even though she already put his name up on the wall of the dead. Almost gets killed, and then remembers....oh yeah... I'm pregnant... I probably shouldn't go out there. And then decides that maybe she jumped the gun and takes his name off the wall.

Did a retard write this episode?

Also... it dawned on me during this episode: If Jessie is so good at cutting hair, why does her son Sam have such a retarded bowl cut?

Nothing about Carl's ridiculous mop? Makes him look like a pumpkin head. My only guess is they are going make the fact that he gets a haircut a big deal.

They did totally drop the Rick's hand as an issue.

Another question is how did Deanna and her husband raise such horrible kids? They would suck in any world.

Yeah, this episode seemed like something was missing.

The Maggie thing, yeah....go after Glenn when the entire compound is pretty much surrounded by walkers. Same with the dude she was with (forgot his name). They needed to be smarter about getting out of there and figuring out what they needed to do.

Rick's hand will probably be a flashback episode, where they devote the whole thing to "how Rick got out of the trailer" - what I refer to as a filler episode where not a lot really happens in terms of them being surrounded. Kind of like the Morgan episode.

Carl cannot fight for , and we sat around laughing at him. I think I said, "Is this a girl fight?" And how their little girlfriend is "out there" and all of that and Rick gets all concerned. PLEASE don't go after her, Rick. She's a dumb girl for going out there.

Only 3 episodes left of this season. Probably won't figure out what happened to Glenn until the finale, same thing with Morgan's new friend. That dude will bust out and start killing people.
