Chicago at Green Bay Weather / In-Game Discussion

Recommended Posts

Forte looks OLD and SLOW, time soon to move on and give the rains to Langford.

BTW - Looks like the Refs are going to make sure the Packers win on Favre night. Bogus calls, will be interesting to see how the rest of the game is officiated.

Totally agree with both of these statements. These calls are ridiculously pathetic.

I mean how does Randall Cobb get covered by a frigging linebacker, man to man? Jeez that's a matchup you need to win every time

Davante Adams 2 catches for 14 yards on ten targets. TEN freaking targets from Aaron Rodgers. I'll admit to being high on this kid pre-season, but I also caveated that with him improving his catch to target ratio. Rodgers looked seriously fed up with him tonight. I'm wondering if the kid will ever be a player.

I'd assume the Packers fans would boo if they could collectively get Favres cack out of their mouths.

Well done Bears.

Devante Adams is stealing from Green Bay. He's just some tall muscular human with speed that can't play football. And he's parlayed it into millions because scouts suck at scouting.

Adams killing me with this shiite. Wtf was with that injury? Rodgers gets barely nudged in the elbow and walks off clutching his wrist. Took zero hits on his wrist, not even close, phantom pain.

Great season packers. Lose at home to Bears and lions who never sniff victory there. Chalk up Panthers vs Cards for the nfc title.

I'm sitting Brady for Hoyer. Good luck to both of us.

Rodgers scored 13 under our scoring system. Hoyer should be able to beat that.

the packers play calling in the 2nd half killed them. they were running screens and pounding the ball no problem in the first half then go away from it and pass pass pass in the wind/rain to a bunch of crappy wr's. love seeing teams lose when they do things like that.

Kinda like the niners tried to turn that track star into an NFL wide receiver. What was his name? Nehemiah Well there was Bob Hayes I guess.

Adams couldn't catch a cold in a pre-school class. Seriously. Absolutely pathetic. The only worse performance belongs to whomever is calling the plays to him. This kid has hands of stone, yet they keep forcing the ball to him???

.....and James Jones goes without a catch. GB deserved to lose this one.

#80 for the Packers needs to go to Hollywood with that acting job to draw the P.I. there. :first:

Horrible call.

Tripping call was iffy, that first illegal contact too.

But come on...he held Perillo the whole way down the field on that play.

And they blow the whistle on an offsides nullifying a big gain if not TD to Cobb.

And the pick call was crap too.

Every time I watch the Packers play I come away with the impression that the officials WANT the Packers to win. At this point I don't really understand how EVERY WR isn't a standout player for their team. You can't even breathe on them without picking up a penalty.

Separate note, was one of the announcers (Collinsworth maybe) saying he was watching warm up and saw Adams drop a ton of catching even in practice? I was counting on Adams in one league and thought I got a steal by grabbing a potential WR1 late. Boy did I miss on that one.

I keep hearing the complaints...there was one questionable call that went GBs way as far as the receivers. It was big of course...but the ref who called it sees an arm extended from the defender and a received moved off his route. Even with minimal contact, that is going to get called often.

How do those who think the refs are fr green bay answer to that pick call?

Or stopping the play on the offsides?

The pick call was terrible. The play was stopped correctly because the LT moved before the snap on the offside.

Yup, plus the defenders stopped/slowed on the whistle also, He wouldn't have been that open. Once the O-line moves before the ball is snapped it has to be blown dead. The big boys gotta stay still until the snap if they want that free play.

Side note; Rodgers also gets a lot of leeway on that cadence, he can scream and jerk his head and hands, other QB's simply don't get away with it.

In the game they actually slowed down the tape and focussed on Rodgers to see if he jerks around. He doesnt do it as much as other qbs so i dont know where you got that from. Plus screaming isnt against the rules for a qb.

By watching him play, and correct about the screaming, that's fine.

I thought the exact same thing about the refs. They are desperate for the Pack to win.

Again...based on what?

2 questionable calls?

Are we talking about blown calls? Dallas had a brutal non-call on a third down defensive holding/PI at the Carolina five yard line.

It's not personal just business. NFL refs are horrible.

Sure.

And forgetting at least one...if not more that went against GB?

Newsflash...refereeing in the NFL blows and they don't have the fortune if slow motion to make these calls.

This is true. Plus we can probably both agree that the Packers got absolutely owned by a superior team and a better coached team. Its sad that the pack cant put a better product out there for the fans on Favre night.

Superior?

No.

Better coached, that may be true.

McCarthy too stubborn to go back to calling plays it seems.

I was thinking the Green Bay game for Oakland would be a forlorn hope. Now I'm not so sure...

(Just thought I'd pile on for that half a sack.)
