I just listened to 14 seconds of a Ted Cruz speech before fingerblasting the mute button. That's a new personal best.

I changed the channel. I'd rather listen to Trump than Cruz.

It's easy to 'enjoy it' while on the sidelines. I'd love to see chaos in China as a spectator too. For funsies. Some of us have to live and raise our kids here. But I'm glad it's entertaining for you.

Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots.

It'll be bad whoever wins. If you haven't noticed, all the candidates other than Kasich suck. And Kasich remains the penultimate longshot. Given that, just blow this corruption sh*t up.

Trump's not responsible for running up massive deficits or any of the corruption in D.C. that's the party elites getting fat off the system. Trump is the jackhammer to these special interest asshoIes. Not that he's a great candidate, he's an asshoIe too and is included on my list of candidates who suck, but he's a new and less repugnant flavored asshoIe whose most distasteful to the elites.

His willingness to break things and how they've always been done could actually do some good in reforming the whole process which needs some shaking up.

Watching Trump deliver atomic wedgies onto smug for-sale rival politicos like Jeb! and Rubio and wreck havoc on the incompetent and corrupt crony-laden Republican Party establishment (and maybe there's enough juice in the tank to take out Hillary and the Dem establishment along the way too), is worth it. Let's see how the corrupt deficit-exploding chickenhawk Bushtards try to put Humpty back together again after their party's been hijacked by Trump, especially if his circus lasts for another 4-8 years.

GTFO Republitards! Trump baby!

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I don't know if that was a correct usage of "penultimate". Can I get a ruling on this?

Also I get why you like Trump - because he's VERY distasteful to the establishment. But sometimes the enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend, he's actually an enemy to both of you

Let's pretend Trump wins. with that, you would have to assume at least a republican majority in both houses, if not a super majority. Armed with that, and besides obviously putting a conservative on the court, what do the Republicans do off the bat with this power? It won't just be what Trump wants, he will have to work with his own majority party. As far as deportation, I would assume local law enforcement would be involved, and sanctuary cities would no longer be in play. Amy other things they would do off the bat? I think they would move quick, because as we saw with the death of Ted Kennedy, things can swing the other way fast.

Repeal/Alter the ACA. It needs it badly and they have promised to do it.

Trump is the clear leader. Cruz won't catch him, but at least he's got a fair share of delegates and is the clear cut 2nd at this point.

They'll both battle to the end, plus Cruz isn't liked by the establishment anyways. So if he doesn't drop out, he doesn't care. He has no allies anyways.

But can someone help me out with the other 3?

Rubio has no chance, but he's gonna stay in because he thinks he can win Florida? Even if he does, then what?

Kasich has no chance, but he's gonna stay in because he thinks he can win Ohio? Even if he does, then what?

Carson won't win any state period. What is his motive? He has to sell his autobiography, and is going to write another book. So I guess any publicity is free advertising?

I just don't get these 3 at the moment.

I think at this point the best the establishment can hope for is a brokered convention. If they can somehow stop Trump from getting to 1237 delegates then maybe they can do some sneaky sh1t and force another candidate down our throats. First they tried Bush, then Rubio. I think they still have a hard on for Rubio but I have heard that they might still try to get Romney in it at the last minute. They want the illusion of choice until of course they don't like our choice.

Any chance Kasich might be trolling for VP?

Not for Rubio, like some mentioned, but for Trump?

Pure conjecture. Carson is angling for VP and is staying in the race to keep his name on the radar. He is polling very well against Hillary and Sanders so he is a true asset.

I thought about that and was okay with it because Volty was probably referring to Ben Carson as the ultimate long shot.

Looks very likely that my bet with BLS is happening.

:D

Yep. Also, 'wanting' and 'believing' are two different things.

You WANT Hillary Clinton to win.

I BELIEVE Trump is going to destroy her.

You WANT me to pay you $50

I BELIEVE you'll be needing my address.

The absolute worst case scenario for the GOP would be a brokered convention that results in Trump winning anyway, only to get clobbered in a highly embarrassing general.

I think they really have no choice but to fall in line behind him if he wins. My guess is the pressure on Rubio to get out will be huge over the next few weeks. Dude will not win the nomination and the party will get desperate to coalesce around a Trump alternative.

What a sh1t show.

It's hard to accept that Trump is getting this level of backing, and what does it say if he actually manages to win the general election, which I highly doubt....

Still, watching the bleeding ghashes of the world pout and cry about his success is rather rewarding in a way.....

Why do you all think so strongly that he will destroy her?

His unfavorables are worse than hers...and hers are terrible.

He is winning many states with only about 35% of the vote...do you all think the rest of that 65% is going to him in the general?

I agree that the likely scenario is Trump and Hillary. They have big leads.

But what the media won't talk about or really say, that you have to dig in is that so far the delegates and ccock-us-is and primaries have been from mostly the South. Yes a small ass Vermont and a small ass New Hampshire are thrown in plus a Minny and Mass but other than those its Texas, SC, Oak, Bama, Miss, Tenn, Georgia, Arkansans, redneck Iowa. Yesterday was dubbed the SEC primary for crying out loud.

Those states play into the hands of a Cruz - Trump - Hillary.

The more rust belt and northern states play into the hands of Bernie and Kasich and even Rubio. So they want to see this play out more than just the bible belt states. In two weeks the next big round of states come into play. Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina. All more moderate states with big Delegate numbers.

Rubio and Kasich have been in this thing for a year now, why would you bow out only two weeks from your home state and states that are in your favor moreso than the others? I can see them wanting to at least finish until March 15th.

Same with Bernie, I mean its just Bernie, as long as he's in there and has a chance and has money he'll go the distance until they call it.

Now Carson? I don't get Carson. He actually plays better down south, the same voters as a Ted Cruz but he can't even gain traction there. Carson has no chance, not even a hail mary like the others.

It really is focking hilarious.

90 days ago, everyone, R and D, said trump is a joke and wouldn't be around long.

Then, the narrative among the R's here turned to "I personally don't support him, but I understand the phenomenon."

Now it is beginning to turn to "he will destroy Hilary."

Btw, I hope trump wins the nomination. He will lose, and is daily revealing the Republican Party for the joke that it has been for a decade.

Well, to be fair, I suspect all these Bernie folks even these historically Dems who say they like a Kaisch, will eventually go pull the lever for Hillary. They'll fall in line too. Just watch.

Some will...and Im sure some of it is more of a vote against the other guy.

Im intrigued by Bernie, just not enough to really support him.

Kasich is fine and would vote for him...could even stomach Rubio and would vote for him over Hillary.

But I won't vote for Trump or Hillary...complete garbage.

How the fock does Christie justify hanging around on Trump's coattails? Now that he's out of the race shouldn't he go back to work?

Except it keeps winning. :dunno: Maybe not the Presidency, but everything else. And it has a real shot at the Presidency, now. :dunno:
