Parents and grandparents always played cribbage and sheepshead. Never got into either. But think the wife would like cribbage and my dad has some nice boards that were my grandparents... I played spades coming up and then got really good playing all the brothas at at the firehouse the past 20 years. I was literally coming into this thread to ask you if you ever played Bourre. Yes I love this game. It can be way more fun than Euchre. Though it's been years since I have played. I just saw the actual rules state one must lead with an ace, king, or queen as trump if they have one of those Trump cards? We never played with that rule. They definitely played with a lot more flair than the honkeys. ETA no way in he!! you'd beat me in any game in which I can count cards.
