Bears at Packers: In-Game Discussion

Recommended Posts

Ever remember a game with such drastic shift of emotions? People high on packers, Bears start rolling, then Rodgers gets hurt, games over, season over, Rodgers back, Now down by only 3.

Anyone else just lose on that play? I did. Opponent has Rodger and Cobb. That's a LOT of points on one play for the win.

If only Fuller could catch.

Considering the injury and the deficit, is this up there with the Favres dad died game?

Uhm...no. The Favre game was something magical. This is up there in wins, but it doesn't match the Favre game.

I remember being just about close to tears watching that Favre game. And for me, it was almost all about how his receivers were killing themselves for him. This game was epic, and the Bears have to be just gutted. But it's not quite that same level. It's up there with the Improbable Bobble of Freeman's :) (kidding, it's much bigger than that one play, of course.)

I donno. Favre was fine physically. In this game the bears were up 20 and Rodgers was hurt and declared season over. Then the crazy length of the tds. I think this one had some magic too.

My phone died a few hours ago. Used my gfs phone to post a few times. Wow. Trubisky fvcking sucked ass in the 2nd half. I have no clue where he was going with the ball. Zero touch on his passes. That's not good. You don't just all of a sudden wake up and put more touch on passes. The Bears got away from the run too much imo. Howard was gashing them. The 1st half looking innovative, and then the last few drives it was just straight up drop back and isolate Trubisky's gaze to one side of the field. I am a huge believer in Trubisky, but that was jarring. I get Lambo is a tough place to win, especially with all that went on, but Trubisky wasn't even close on a lot of his throws.

Definitely a contest to savor. We don't get many of them over the course of a season.

That Cobb play happens to the Bears so often with division opponents its not funny. Some weird ass fluky play where a receiver runs untouched for 80 yards.

I thought Rodgers was done also. As soon as I saw he was coming back, I told my gf, this is not good at all. I don't feel good even with a 20 point lead.

There was magic. More along the lines of Richard Rodgers hail mary levels of magic, though.

Crazy game.

I think Trubisky and the Bears will be a decent competitive team for the next several years. But Rogers still has the Bears number.

It will be an uphill climb to win this division as long as hes around. And dont look now in the Vikes are also pretty damned good.

Also I had the Bears +7 and over 45.5 parlayed.

Bears look like a team on the cusp talent wise. But the coach appears to have some Andy Reid turtle up in him and the QB seems kinda stupid.

Yeah idk who he was throwing to. Trubisky is a good athlete. I thought they should have rolled him out more. I also think he should have stepped up into the pocket more.

I am encouraged about Trubisky. He looked pretty good. I give him this year for fine tuning. The Bears feel the same way according to local reporters covering the team.

I just read from the very beginning...

The focking over reactions on this thread, and this entire forum. I hope some of you dont behave this way in real life when facing real decisions and situations.

I find myself in a lot of dance offs. It's the only true barometer for who is right.

Stupid Bears stopped throwing in the second half, protecting a lead.... against Rodgers ????????????

Unbelievable. They had a golden opportunity to put their foot on the packers throat but instead they chickened out. Playing not to lose. Typical scaredy-cat mentality. Nothing but lame running plays and useless bubble screens. Throw the damn ball and win the game. Bears fans ought to be calling for the coach’s head this morning. Maybe Mitch Trubisky actually sucks?

Mack can be a difference maker for them. Im not sold on Trubisky.

Nor should you be. We have frozen runni g around here anointing Trubs as the future of the league.

What basis gives him that idea I have no clue. Its early in his career. But he has done nothing as of yet to give the idea that he is a future star.

Update?

Update:

Mack nearly got rid of Rodgers for good. There is always next time. Teams sometimes show promise early before they start getting really good.

They have some talent for once. But what promise?

GB's offense was a joke the first half.

Mack is great bit Kizer gifted you guys a TD.

Trubs had a couple nice throws but still looks like a swing pass/screen offense.

Packers spotted you guys 20 points and still won.
