So, what if I have like SARS? I mean, is that even a thing now? Or is it just not trendy enough? Is it like the acid wash jeans of global pandemics?

Can I get zika? Will my head shrink? Cuz I got a melon like Rocky Dennis.

We've been had.

They're killing as many elderly and sick as they can.

More money for a covid diagnosis,  even more if you can kill them with a vent.

Sick world we are living in.

Meanwhile there's another dozen tick tock videos of conga lines and twerking from these so called heros battling it on the front lines.

So much is going to come out in the future. Hospitals have become profit driven corporations, even  the so called “non-profits”. People, especially those with union protection (nurses) will begin to speak out en masse. Bank on it.

That’s been happening since jump. It’s so obvious.

  • Confirmed deaths: People who had a positive COVID-19 laboratory test.
  • Probable deaths: People who did not have a positive COVID-19 laboratory test, but their death certificate lists as the cause of death "COVID-19" or an equivalent.

Amazing what the sheep will fall for

A friend of my wife just found out her husband has it.  It's the first person that know who is confirmed to have it.  They live in our small town and she is on the city council.

My antibody test came back today, negative. Which suuuuucks.

They don't know that having the antibodies makes you any less likely to get it in the future, so don't despair.

But if it came back positive, he knows that he already beat it once.

A guy I knew from college.   I rented a place with him and a couple of other guys in Boston after college too.  He just passed away from "complications related to Covid-19".      He was around 55 yrs old.

But. . . .   For as long as I knew him he was a smoker, a heavy drinker, overweight, ate crappy food, and never did anything to work out or anything physical.  Golf was his lone physical activity.    I lost track of him a while ago but heard thru mutual friends that he was pretty much unchanged.       He was a good guy but his lifestyle made me feel like a vegan olympic athlete monk by comparison (I'm not).     Just conjecture on my part but I suspect his life choices and CV-19 combined to take him out.

I think this virus is like every other virus. Your body develops a natural immunity to it in most cases. Why now all of a sudden that changes?

Of course if the virus mutates that's different.

No results today.

Honestly, I don't know what to do with that anyway. Literally, nothing changes no matter what the results are. And if it's a negative? They assume it's a positive. (False neg). And nothing changes.

And if it's a positive? Then what? Literally just wait for it to get worse  - or better. but the doctors have damn little to do with that.

Man, this is stupid.

So, a dude I know got tested by the same peeps 6 hours before I did last Friday.. He got his results 2 days ago. Me?  Not so much.

Let's play a game. Take your pick:

1. They got the results, they were positive - and now are re-testing to confirm before breaking the news.

2. They f'ed up the test. I dunno what they're waiting for if that's the case. It's not like I gave them spare brain loogies.

2a. Took the sample, forgot to turn in the test. Now playing "oh shiit, hurry!" game.

3. They forgot about me. I mean, I see the staff and the med crew every day here. Odds?  Not so much.

4. They forgot that they haven't told me. I asked them again yesterday - still, no response other than "Oh, let me look into..."

5. I see a lung specialist on Tuesday. They're waiting on that. Because they don't know WTF is wrong  - but with a cough like this...

6. I tested negative, but I have a cough like a Harp Seal walking over hot coals. (flippering?) They don't know what to think,  but don't want to rule out Cvid until "3 days after symptoms have ceased manifesting." (One Diagnostic protocol). I can't go 3 hours without "symptoms manifesting"

(i.e. me doubled over coughing, sounding like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park until my lungs give out and/or I vomit my last meal).

I'm betting on 4 or 2a. When all else fails, bet on incompetence. It's our Default Setting. And, it's the most boring.

I don't mind having it. Just do like my Dad; Pump me with morphine and let me toddle off this mortal coil. But FFS, I'd like to do some drinking while I still can.

Even though they have not proven that having the antibodies make you less likely to get it in the future, it has been the case with previous covid viruses.  As with every treatment/cure they are being extremely cautious/deliberate not to give us any hope.

7. You tested positive, but because you're so valuable to the homeless community, they're holding off on giving you the results for as long as possible.

I don't really know and I am hopeful like you. I did look up some stuff and I don't know if this totally explains it, but some viruses show immunity that is short-lived, so we don't know if we get immunity and, if so, for how long.  :dunno:

I do think that we seem to be only getting the worst possible scenarios from certain people (and maybe rose-colored opinions from others), so it sucks that we just don't know.

Well Kids, the results are in:   I'm not pregnant.

And, I don't have Covid.

Sure, the test is largely a joke ranging over 30% in false negatives.

Sure, the guys doing the testing (of the homeless primarily) haven't had  a single positive yet.

(Seriously? - We have more Broncos than Homeless with Covid?)

BUT, I'm taking it as it is:  Good News.

I had a cheeseburger and a ginormous piece of lemon cake for lunch - and got some sun.

Sure, all the reasons/symptoms that the Docs had me tested either still exist or have worsened.

But, that's for another day.  I see a pulmonologist next week.

And Today?

Is a Good Day.

Well the good news is that it's not Covid19. The bad news is that it's something just as bad if not worse, and although that means that they should know what it is, they still can't figure it out. Still, I'd treat this as good news.

I gotta say, listening to your symptoms, I was 80% sure you were going to finally put us on the scoreboard.

Wiffleball does charity work at a homeless shelter, he's not homeless himself.

Remember, a few years ago, wiffleball inherited a house from his mother with every room stacked floor to ceiling with odds-and-ends she should have been throwing out over the last sixty years but never did. Someday, she may have needed this styrofoam box that the ceiling fan they bought in 1974 came in. The receipt is in one of those forty drawers.

Brother in law diagnosed today---confirmed.  He took a rapid test Monday.   He says now his wife is showing symptoms as is his daughter.

Unfortunately we hung with them on Saturday.  We did a decent job keeping distance however.  Basically hung out in his dad's backyard 6 feet apart at least.    5 days since we hung out and my wife and I are not showing symptoms.

He says his symptoms were a fever for about 12 hours with some aches and pains.   Not even like a bad flu.   We was a worried one too because he has some heart issues.   Turns out it was probably nothing.

The SIL has it.  She is a reckless 32 year old who thought she wouldn't be affected.  Has been going to bars and get togethers with al of her single friends.

No smell or taste for the last few days, fever, shortness of breath.  Just got told to go to the ER.

Was seeing where parents were purposely sending their kids to school when they were diagnosed with Covid. Pretty retarded

She's a hypochondriac, so you are probably right.  Thankfully, her and my wife are estranged, so we don't have to put up with it.

99.9997% chance of survival. She has a better shot at getting killed by a black guy.
