He would've been better off not making a statement. They hired a black coach. Just STFU. This makes him look like he's grasping at straws

MIA hired the biracial OC from SF.  I wonder if he'll play half the race card if he gets fired?

I really can’t believe that after all these pages, after all the football games you’ve watched, after all of these years, you honestly believe that the only reason there is currently only 1 black coach is because they’re just not qualified. You also believe black coaches are allowed to fail and continue to get other coaching jobs like other coaches? You don’t see any doors remaining closed to them at all? You know there was a time when the NFL was all white. Do you think that is because black athleticism only began in the 70’s?

AA's are 15% of US population.    Male AAs would be approximately 8% of the population.    There are 32 teams in the NFL,  8% of 32 = 2.56.     So if the percentage of coaches who are AA would match population size - we are off by 1.56 coaches.    Since you can't have .56 of a person, call it off by 1 or 2.

That's what you are getting agitated about, 1 or 2 coaches out of 31?    Lovie Smith just got hired.    So we are at 2 AA NFL coaches.    And the NFL has taken actions to improve the AA representation in the coaching ranks.

Marvin Lewis had a bad team for years and years, never got fired.   Romeo Crennel has cycled thru about 50 different HC and Asst HC jobs in his career.   Those are just off of the top of my head.

What exactly is the problem?

Love Smith just got his third HC job. Herman Edwards, somehow, got hired twice. Caldwell twice. Art She’ll twice. Hugh Jackson twice. Top of my head.

I work with 2 black guys and they are on your side. They say being a good player doesn’t mean you’ll make a good coach. They were trying to explain how men become coaches.

It seems it has to do with certain associations and training and we’re out of that loop.

So you’re saying the NFL needs more women head coaches?

There is a nepotism problem in the NFL,  not a racism problem. Also everyone just follows each other. How many head coaches in the NFL worked for McVeigh, Shannahan, or Bellichick?

Yeah, that’s exactly what that said. I was gonna type what they told me but it would take too long. Something about being the son of or being a defense coach, blah, blah, blah…You have to have worked under another coach and that’s how Dungy helped somebody who helped somebody.

Opportunity must come before merit can happen.

This reminds me of all the decades of arguments of why there were so few black quarterbacks.

We all acknowledge that racism existed before the 70s, and exists today.  There are now 2 black HCs, there have been more over the years.  NFL owners want to win, bottom line, doesn't matter color of coach.

MIA just hired the OC from SF.  He's half black so there's your missing ~0.56 of a AA coach.

I see, you want to pretend people do not "have" because of their skin color.

Well, the rest of us live in the real world.  We are not all equally positioned in this world.  We have strengths and weaknesses.  The beauty of our system is that hard work can offset those factors, and it does.....every day.

But hey, if it helps someone to pretend its because of something other then merit and effort....run with that. I mean, after all, look at all the success THAT  has delivered. 🤤

If you want to help your community here are a few simple steps.

1) Stop whining, no one cares, work harder

2) Stop pretending that "street" is the measure of quality, its education and hard work

3) If you do these three simple things you significantly enhance your potential in this life
  1- Finish high school
2- Dont be a focking moron and commit a crime/get arrested
3- Dont have kids before you are 21
Ref: Brookings Institute

It's time to stop whining, and to start working.  And for those who have done so, the world is their oyster.....

Question from Max Kellerman this morning...if Eric Bieniemy was white, do you think he'd have had a head coaching job by now?

He wouldn’t have a job. If a white guy assaulted and threatened to gang rape a black parking attendant he wouldn’t be allowed to draft a fantasy football team.

He'll be like Kamala Harris.  He'll be the race they want him to be when it suits their purpose.  Harris was recognized as the first female "Asian" to be elected senator... then when she became the VP, she was all of a sudden "Black".  McDaniel will be white while hired because it gives the black angle more juice.  If he wins, he'll be used as a symbol of why minority head coaches should be targeted.  Obviously, if he's fired, it'll be because of racism.

Those who can, "do"... those who can't, "teach".  There's so many black players because they can "do".  There's so many white coaches because they "can't".

With the latest NFL HC hires they have reached 2.5%.

In part I would not blame NFL teams to avoid hiring people who might pull this same bullsh!t....

You get hired, you suck, you get fired.....y'know, like the rest of the focking world operates....

But then the guy who sucked and was fired starts running around like he is some kind of focking victim.....I mean, jesus, what a focking baby

Nooooooooooo........

You can make fun of white men to your hearts content, and then you MUST follow the grievance pyramid past that.....of course if you hold liberal views you have much more flexibility as well....

I would suggest #3 in your list should be changed to 'Don't have kids unless you want one, you are mentally stable and can afford to raise one properly, and are with someone else of the opposite sex who is mentally stable as well and who wants one equally as much.'

But why are you guys lecturing me about staying in school and keeping my legs closed when this topic is about coaching the NFL? Last time I checked the person in question not only graduated high school but has had winning seasons. How about staying on topic.

Why the heck do you want a black head coach so bad? There are only 32 of them in the in the NFL out of the whole world. Why does a small % of this country deserve to be given some of those 32 jobs simply because they are black? And that goes for any other job as well.

Seems like playing football would be one of the ways of becoming a coach. Since blacks make up the majority of players but not coaches what is it that they’re not doing? Since, the door is wide open to anyone qualified.

If there are people complaining that they are not getting the job they are applying and are qualified for and this has been a complaint for many years now, I think it’s worth discussing. If White men can be women, I think black men can be NFL football coaches.
