Really sick of these stories

Me too. Just stop committing crimes and fleeing scenes. 99.9% of society can do it.

This sounds bad but slamming the police is the reflex reaction the MSM and the perp's lawyer does with every story like this they get their hands on. We've been here before. Let's see the bodycam and any other available footage and make up our own minds.

Tell that to the 3 cops killed in Kentucky on Thursday. Plus the K-9.  You miss that one?

I think the first 50 bullets were sufficient.

Had to make sure he learned his lesson. It worked. He won't commit that crime again.

I like when they say "I give up. I'm cooperating".

After they've committed a crime. Led police on a 10 mile chase. Jump out and flee the vehicle.

Yup, thank you for your cooperation .

Even worse though. These sac of sh1t liberal democrats say give the guy a break. He said he was sorry and won't do it again. Oh, and you used too much force. You're fired, and DEFUND!

Thanks for the footage.

I do see the flash from the gunshot the police say he shot from out of the vehicle. As far as the chase, to me, it's inconclusive. I see a bunch of bouncing around from the running which makes it hard to focus and see clearly and so do not get more than the broad aspects of the situation. The running away is clear. At no point do I see the gun in his hand. I do get the sense of him stopping to turn around as the police say he did, but it was only momentary and I wouldn't swear to it from the videos.

Overall, I do see the gunshot from the car during the pursuit so he has already shot at police before the footchase. I am willing to take the police's word for it that the gun they showed was in his hand when they shot him.

I think we can all agree that the real crime here is that 70 shots werent fired.

What was he on to keep running after being shot 60 times.  My local news said he had 60 wounds lol.  Great reporting.

Yeah only 60 times?  Come on, do better than that...

Well in fairness, they shot 90. It's a 15 round clip. They missed a third of their shots. But he was black and it was dark...

Yes they did.  They heard the shot and saw muzzle flash.  They said they thought he shot at them and then they feared he was going to shoot at them again when they were chasing him.   What exactly do you think the fleeing suspect was shooting at?

I don't think he shot at them, but it seems he fired while in the car, the cops knew, chased him, and when he turned, they let him have it cause how could they know he wasn't armed.

My best guess is he was messed up. Grabbed his gun and misfired. I bet they find a bullet hole in the floorboard or something. Though we may never hear that.

I know it's a dynamic situation, but everyone, especially the cops have to realize the environment in which they're living. It seems like in situations like this, every cop seems so God damn excited to be able to finally shoot at a live target.

Perhaps we change the paradigm a bit such that maybe you don't have nine different cops unloading their f****** clips? Maybe you have a couple of I don't know what you want to call them,  shooting cops?  Other countries do this already. They have some cops who are unarmed and others who show up with hella weaponry and they get the job done.

If nothing else, just from a strictly appearance sake, it looks a shitload more professional and tactical than WOO HOO LETS ALL FIRE UNTIL WE RUND OUTTA BULLITS!

They all have radios. They all know who's on site. It's the first f****** thing they do when they arrive.

Something like this.

Charlie 5 has the shot.

Take the shot Charlie 5 clear to fire. Clear to fire.

Charlie 5. Target down.

------------

It's not unheard of.  It's a difference between professionals and overweight video game jockies who had two weeks of " training."

I agree with the poster that says that cops should be former military. Would solve a hell of a lot of problems across the board.

But for the last paragraph, this is one of the most childish, unrealistic, ignorant things ever brought forward here. Or anywhere else.

What kind of things would it solve if cops were former military?

Where do you keep getting this bad information from?

4 year old girl shot to death last night in Akron. I’ve always been sickened by those stories.

Cops obviously didn’t need to shoot the guy 60 times but I can’t blame them for firing.

Plenty of examples of police brutality to pick from. This isn’t one of them.
