Notre Dame. Disgraceful. They had a cakewalk to the playoffs.  Coach should be fired.  But he won’t be.

Heck of a game @Hawkeye21

you guys are aggravatingly good in the most nauseously boring way. And I mean that as a compliment.

Iowa pissed it away. It’s so incredibly frustrating being an Iowa fan. Luckily the Bears pulled it off today.

Not really IMO…. Cignetti has been a damn fine coach everywhere he has gone and turned teams around from year one…

Yes, but they are not in the top 25 in any poll yet.  Just started to get a few votes after destroying UCLA.  They were +3400 to make the playoffs on Monday, but floated up to +1500 after some favorable articles and some computer models (when eliminating preseason bias) showed they are top 8.  They are still +50000 to win a national title with a good 30 teams in front of them.

The reality is they have one of the best QBs in the country and some very good WRs and as you mentioned a top flight coach.  But they are on very few people's radar as a legitimate contender.  I think they are better than Michigan and even Penn State.  It would not surprise me if they only lose 1 or 2 games.

Now Indiana is down to +900 to make the playoffs.  Glad I got a piece at +3400.

Miami = V Tech. What a game. Long review on the last play reversed the TD and changed the winner.

The ACC wasn’t going to let Miami lose.  I knew the call would be overturned, even though there wasn’t indisputable evidence showing that it wasn’t a catch.  VA Tech caught the ball, landed on his asss in bounds, then the ball got wrested away by a Miami player.  It all depends on the nebulous “time component” of how long the WR needs to secure the ball after hitting the ground - which will always be excruciatingly subjective.  Which is why you can’t reverse the call in the field, because it will almost always be disputable.

But the ACC still has a 7th ranked team, and the leading Heisman candidate.  Some things are more important than fairness.

I know I'm biased, but the refs couldn't be doing more to help Kansas beat ASU.  I defy @cmh6476 to come in and argue otherwise.

He doesn’t care about Jayhawks football since they are 1-5…

Guess they aren’t going to win the Big 12 has he predicted…

No worries, ASU won anyway.  The Big12 officials will probably have a "gotta minute" meeting to see how they could have twisted more calls in the favor of legacy teams.
