He was pretty fragile when he made his last appearance.  I am glad IU kind of patched things up for his last years.  A bunch of limp-wristes leftist set him up and chased him out.

Oh man. One of the good ones. RIP.

Absolutely.  Your kid got way more than basketball if you sent him there.

Yeah. He hurt a lot of feelings. And graduated a lot of players. Some people only care about the feelings. Others care about the results.

Imagine if Bob Knight as he was entered college ranks now.  How could he get recruits?   How could he win at his rate?  He couldn't kids and parents are babies today.

My HS basketball coach always had a few pictures hanging of him and Knight when he attended a few basketball seminars of Knight's.  Very big fan of Knight.

That is what is wrong with the world today. Great leaders like Knight have all been run off.

My HS cosch actually tossed his chair across the floor in a practicd over winter break when basically no one else was in thr building than us.  Lol.   Just a lone chair he was sitting in at mid court.  We were fooling around and wasting our time coming in over break.

Are they going to throw his coffin across the gravesite in a fitting send off?

I am pretty sure they will bury him upside down so his critics can kiss his arse.

On a work trip and at a dinner…my phone has been exploding.

Legend, complicated, sad, amazing career this guy led.

Huge part of my childhood and formative years.

RIP

Some people think a strong leader needs to be an ass hole.

Most of these people are ass holes.

It was a different era. Knight’s problem was he couldn’t adapt. That isn’t necessarily a problem but will limit you and eventually led to his downfall as a coach.

As someone who idolized him and this style growing up was sad to watch at times but this is life.

One of a kind, a legend and you can’t tell the history of basketball without him.

If your players aren’t in the fetal position when you coach them hard, you’re a shitttty coach.

Great coach. There is a court in heaven that’s been waiting for you. And a sturdy chair. Have fun storming the castle.

That is for sure. But the same is true for John Wooden and Coach K, and by all accounts, they weren’t a$$holes. Knight was.

Knight also chose to campaign for Donald Trump, AFTER Trump’s racist and bigoted remarks against Mexican-Americans, blacks, women, and Muslims in 2016. Anyone who publicly campaigned for Donald Trump (and Knight was enthusiastic about it) deserves a whole lot of shame for that act alone.

This can all be added to his story.

He is one of the mor complicated figures in sport.

I don’t think there will ever be a person like this in sports again.

Bob Wooden was a cheating SOB as well 😂

Is anything not tied to Trump in your brain?  The only thing smaller than your brain are the wages you pay those Mexicans fellas

That should have been the reaction to Trump for sure. From the moment he came down the escalator. But unfortunately for a lot of people it wasn’t, and still isn’t. You’ve only got yourselves to blame.
