peenie 1,696 Posted March 23 If you’ve been invited to a wedding that starts at 5 pm, what time should you arrive? What time would you be there in order to avoid being late?
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,610 Posted March 23 Being on time is racist. We discussed this you should live your life with the intentions of Joe Lombardi. If your 5 mins early your 10 mins late. Never done me wrong

What time would you be there in order to avoid being late? Weddings rarely start on time. That said, if the invitation says 5:00, 4:45 is prolly a good time to get seated. The reason most weddings don't start on time is because they are waiting for self important asshoIes to get there. 1

IGotWorms 3,343 Posted March 23 35 minutes ago, peenie said: Please give me the time you’d arrive if you were invited to a 5 pm wedding. Probably 15-20 minutes early. Kinda depends on the people and circumstances though. With a couple of my friends they meant the ceremony would be right at 5 and then you’d quickly proceed to get focked up, so in that circumstance I might be there a half hour early or more if the bar was already open

peenie 1,696 Posted March 23 I just want to be early and not late for certain events.
Bier Meister 1,518 Posted March 23 I’d probably arrive around 4:15-4:30 if I know a good amount of attendees. Park, and quick hellos. if I do not know many people, I would try to be seated by 4:45
5-Points 2,744 Posted March 23 25 minutes ago, peenie said: I just want to be early and not late for certain events. General rule: 15 minutes early is "on time" for events. Unless it's a surprise party and you're delivering the guest of honor. In that case, 15 minutes late is recommended.
Drizzay 648 Posted March 23 Why is this even a question? If you show up when the bride is about to walk down the isle, you done focked up.

jerryskids 5,235 Posted March 24 I'd probably target 4:30, with the intention of actually getting there by 4:45. I'm notoriously late, largely because there is always one more PITA thing I need to do with my laryngectomy, at least that is my excuse. But as others have pointed out, you don't want to show up as the bride is heading down the aisle.
