Gutterboy decided on who to vote for in 2016 based on 180k worth of facebook ads.  Lol.

Where did I say that?  I'm not even on facebook, and I was never voting for Hillary.  Sit down.

I am not a trusting person in general and I don't believe in blind trust. One could easily say that prior to trump, you have been conditioned to believe that politics and our "democracy" is on the up and up.   Was it not Hillary and her followers planting seeds of doubt in the 2016 election via russian interference? granted not to the same exhausting degree but, it was there.

A traitor?    stop. You sound moronic and incapable of having legit conversation.

correct, I had no idea about 2016... I didn't even mention it at all in an earlier post of mine that YOU quoted. Shows how much you actually read before formulating your responses to people.

but I am not at all surprised you can't figure out why I laughed.

If you have no idea about Russian influence in 2016 then maybe you should educate yourself.  I didn't care that you never brought it up, it wasn't a reply to you, it was a reply to Jerry who brought up influence.

I know why you laughed, you think it's made up because you hear trump say Russia Russia Russia but it happened.  Learn somethingTry again

I'm sorry. I did not honestly realize you were completely retarded :(

You talk about Russian influence as of you have first hand knowledge. And as if it was unique to 2016.  Maybe you ought to sit down.

Further evidence that what Trump does or doesn't do matters little to those supporting him. Now the whole system is corrupt and guilty verdicts are meaningless. From now on, it will always be like this. Evidence doesn't matter, courts don't matter, laws don't matter.

Why was this never an issue until Trump? Were Obama and W charged with war crimes and I missed it? Precious Trump gets rung up and found guilty of a felony, so obviously presidents MUST have immunity. This is profoundly un-American.

Anyone who didn't see the New York trial as a sham is an idiot in my book.

I think it was legit. Honest opinion. And I strongly disagree with you and @Patented Phil on this- if that trial wasn’t legit Trump would have been acquitted. But the evidence was overwhelming .

I am also confused as to why the sentencing would be delayed. How could reimbursing Michael Cohen possibly be construed as an “official duty”? That makes no sense whatsoever.

I did not pivoting or backpedaling, go back and reread.  Here, I'll help you:

I stated that the system did not provide the ability to have evidence, which has been my point all along.  And  you responded like the good programmed simp Leftie you are with RIGGED!  WAAAAA!, trying to shut down any attempt to question the security of the election.

Now get your shine box.

With a lot of people it’s all facile generalizations, figure eight arguments, thought-terminating cliches.  You really should stop engaging.  I mean it sincerely.  You’re literally throwing away little bits and pieces of your life with people who don’t want to ever use the phrase “I could be wrong” or “There might be some truth in what you’re saying.”

Exactly.  Fock the Leftists in here.  They have no interest in truth, and on top of that they’re not all that bright.

There’s no antidote to the woke-mind-virus retards. They welcome our not-so-distant, communist, 1984ish gay, totalitarian future.

I saw a blurb that said they used testimony from Hope Hicks among others that were conversations while in the WH so that is now considered “official duty” I believe that was the contention.

So as long as a President does his crime between 9-5 in the office, it's legal.

I would give the same advice to posters on both the left and right.  It’s about those people who don’t want to talk and never want to be anything except right.  The people who feel like they have something to win in this forearm.  And there are people like that from both sides.

If I’m reading this correctly Trump telling DoJ to just say the election was corrupt and he and Congress will take care of the rest. Well that’s tossed, can’t touch that.

I made this point earlier- but it’s also equally true for many of those who are cheering the decision.

Ive had a day to think about this decision and I remain troubled by it. I think it gives too much power to the President, any President. I think that we should have trusted our legal system, that if there had been an unfair prosecution, a jury of 12 citizens would have given a quick and easy acquittal. I think that there are times in which a President can commit crimes that are also official acts and that we need to have the option to prosecute those crimes.

Thats where I stand as of now. Good arguments can always change my mind.

What do you think of a President that literally just ignores the SCOTUS?

Nah.  That's what you Communists do.

We would rather just give you a one-way ticket to the favorite socialist Utopia of your choice.  Cuba?  you got it.  North Korea?  Even better.  Venezuela?  Utopia achieved.  Just let us know!!

Maybe we should take a page out of the leftist playbook and throw fire bombs at police, and burn down people's businesses and take over the streets and highways, and assault everyone and murder many of our choice. Kind of like you all did in 2020. 🤔

Also, in doing some more reading today, it appears that I was correct in my upstream assessment.  The ruling does not say that the POTUS is immune from official acts; it clarifies the definitions of official vs. unofficial, and within official, those which are absolute vs. presumptive.  For the presumptive case, there is an additional burden on the prosecution to show that it is not an official act, which is completely reasonable and needed based on the recent lawfare from the DoJ.

The Left is not only butt hurt that this delays their prosecutions of Trump, but they also desperately need to flip the narrative from Biden being brain dead.  Walla!

The message is:  Trump will use this to be a dictator and jail his opponents, and SCOTUS is rogue.  Also, we need to put Trump in jail and defend our institutions.

Soft-minded people are lapping it up.

As Justice Sotomayor says so powerfully, this new immunity ‘now lies about like a loaded weapon’ for any President that wishes to place his own interests, his own political survival, or his own financial gain, above the interests of the Nation.’

Larry Tribe advised President Barack Obama against nominating Justice Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court

I remain in concert with Tribe when it comes to Sotomayor....."she's not nearly as smart as she seems to think she is,"

But hey, she made it in there....so since she afforded them "benefits in terms of  "personal history and demographic appeal," but that she would likely have a "negative" impact"

Well, she is a female minority....so fock it...lets throw her on there  :headbanger:

I don’t  think the bogus, twisted made up charges in NY’s case against him can be considered an official act.  It was an act on behalf of his campaign I would say.  Or himself.

The Supreme Court can no longer be trusted to uphold the Constitution.

If Donald Trump is reelected, this convicted felon, rapist, and twice-impeached former President will be able to do whatever the hell he wants.

It’s a scary day for American democracy.

Wanna know what else is scary for American democracy?

Knowing full well a candidate is mentally impaired but hiding that knowledge, changing the rules to screw over someone who challenges him so frequently and so badly that the guy has to leave the part and run for an independent, cancelling your primary result winner in favor of nominating a candidate nobody voted for but was instead selected by party superdelegates, criminally prosecuting your political opposition over nonsense, insisting on no voter ID being needed to vote, ignoring Supreme Court decisions, attempting to stack the Supreme Court, attempting to jettison the fillibuster, and a lot more cr@p but that's just off the top of my head.

Yes Democracy is on the ballot. The party that is behind 49-42 in the polls and that loves tearing down George Washington statues and flying Hamas flags is determined to thwart it.

To hear squid's opinions, all you have to do is turn on liberal radio. The same trash is repeated 24x7 there. Listen to that, and you will know the following day's liberal narrative on this site.

It's a scary moment in time, since various factions on the left that are almost always in lock step are now in open warfare with each other. The signals are all mixed and until programming is restored, their Army of leftoid zombies are left to just stumble around rudderlessly and bump into each other.

It is. And the whole reason this country needs a guy like Trump is because of the sheer ignorance of the left. "Zombies" is right.
