Strike 3,975 Posted April 27, 2017 There's no way this guy didn't get at least a million. Given his injuries and how quickly it was settled he had to. No reason for he and his lawyer to settle this quickly unless United made them an offer "they couldn't refuse."

wiffleball 4,640 Posted April 28, 2017 Totally agree with Strike. No way the dude's attorney doesn't press for a jury trial (and a HUGE potential award) unless there's a monster payout for both of them.

giraldi02 470 Posted April 28, 2017 Or maybe his attorneys don't want to risk putting his past troubles and character out there for a jury? No one else in the entire world is going to be sued by Dr. Dao, said the attorney, who has been involved in several high-profile personal-injury settlements. Or how about you stop overbooking the focking flights? You have x seats, you sell x seats. And if your exec needs to travel, he can focking wait until there is an empty seat. After all, the customer does come first.
