One of the cool things about this place is we police ourselves and I was nominated as the spokesman for this movement. So not only did small businesses get torched and looted, not only did the quality and quantity of law enforcement collapse, not only did this increase inflation and the deficit, but it also dovetailed into impacting the budgets of all the education sectors in Oregon too. This was the price of "Orange Man Bad" Keep in mind Kate Brown was caught using state funds to pay for her personal law license renewal. And for her various vacations. The people she hobnobs with send their kids to wealthy elite private schools. Well, in Oregon, they voted for it. Now they get to watch their children and their children's futures burn for it. So the ruling has come down, not just in Colorado but in cases in Michigan an Minnesota. A legal consensus seems to be forming against the theory that Trump can be kept off the ballot by the agency of Article 3 of the 14th Amendment. The early enthusiasms of some for this artifice now seems destined to wane. As for the judge I still question why she did not recuse herself. She potentially placed herself in a very bad position where the appearance of impropriety would have raised its head depending upon her ruling. Given her ruling that is not now an issue, but it was an interesting, and in my mind, ill-advised decision to not recuse herself. Me, I believe the ruling is correct. I do not believe Article 3 of the 14th Amendment was ever intended to reach so far, to such relatively trivial matters as the temporary delay of the certification of an election by a bunch of conflated idiots and their spiritual leader with no plan for 5 minutes into the future.
