A person, a senior citizen for example, could have worked their entire lives but maybe qualifies for food stamps because their monthly social security is a low payment. Can you imagine some weasel side eyeing your hard working Dad while he’s grocery shopping who is now retired and on food stamps? Some elderly people have to make themselves poor so they can qualify for Medicaid. Y’all need to STFU because these are issues you’ll have to face as your parents get older sicker and even worse as you get older and sicker. One bad illness, dementia or Alzheimer’s care could wipe out your savings.

If you get $145/mo for food stamps for you and your child, do you think a person would buy an expensive cut of steak? They would be greatly limiting their ability to buy food for the rest of the month. Even if they did make that choice, isn’t it clear that they made some severe sacrifices in other areas to afford that luxury? Why are you jealous of people who get food stamps? Over the years this is a constant complaint from you all. Once someone complained that they saw a shopper buying crab legs with food stamps. Mind your business! You have no idea what you’re seeing. Maybe the person eats beans and tortillas all month to be able to splurge on 1 order of $5 crab legs for 1 day. Geesh.
