I misspoke with “deaths,” I meant “hospitalizations.” 90%+ of those hospitalizations were flu/pneumonia and chronic lower respiratory disease and others. Now maybe they don’t die at the same rate as Covid, but that puts a little dent in the “Covid is filling our hospitals$#@“ claim; apparently Covid is only a blip in an otherwise epidemic of non-Covid respiratory ailments.

I have a similar story. I invented bottled water. 1988, playing basketball at a park on a hot summer day. The only thing available was soda from a vending machine. I told my friends how it would be an awesome idea if you could also get a can of cold water from the machine instead of soda. Both guys told me how stupid the idea was. Imagine. Why would I have to conclude that schools have raped more kids than catholic priests? We have plenty of evidence of millions of kid rapes at the hands of priests. Can you share information about schools?
