Actually it is...if you are telling them this protest (which does not take away from their jobs on the field) is a fireable offense.

And BS you would warn and then fire any star player. You won't...and no team would.

And now the A's had a catcher kneel for the anthem tonight...first MLB player to do so...born in Germany in an Army family and was pissed about Trumps comments.

His team thus far supports him.

It should be handled by the league. If I were goodell (with the approval of the owners) I would make it a one game suspension.

Pure business decision. It is bringing controversy my business doesnt need.

Right I fired a guy who I have known for 10 years because he wore an anti obama shirt to set up one of my movie screens. I know it's not the same level but keep your politics out of my business doesn't matter what level

I don't know if there's an NBA equivalent of this thread, by Steph Curry pretty much nailed it earlier...

"I don't know why he feels the need to target certain individuals rather than others," Curry told reporters in Oakland Saturday afternoon. "I have an idea of why, but, it's just kind of beneath, I think, a leader of a country to go that route. It's not what leaders do."

The president should be the uniting voice, regardless of gridlock in congress blah blah. He's sort of the cheerleader of America. Trump is the most divisive person to ever set foot in the OO, at a time when all everybody wants is a little team work. It's really sad and embarrassing tbh.

Im doubting the story that you came to this site for FF and just happened upon the politics. Doing this based on your political comments...and that you came right in guns blazing and going around the language filter to call people you disagree with c*nts. (also the whining about liberal pajama boys and mom's basement comment).

And no...its not he president's place to tell the NFL how to run their teams. Not should he ever call for the boycott of a league or business because of such things.

Do you have a problem with people flying the "confederate" flag? I ask...because that flag is far more disrespectful to the US flag than kneeling is.

So that 2 minutes...that isn't always even shown on TV...is inhibiting your ability to watch football?

I also highly doubt the story of your liberal friends and how disgusted they are.

And its not anti-American at all. You think these tweets are growing his base? I think you are sorely mistaken. He is widening the divide and bringing more people out against him.

You think all of these NFL owners were just big liberals?

Yeah...no way you are just some new poster...doesn't fit.

You doubt this and you doubt that but I have no doubt you're one of the dumbest individuals posting on this forum.

I love how you can't handle someone new coming at your stupidity so hard simply because they're a new poster. Liberals always have an excuse as to why their arguments get smashed in open debate, it's one of the few things they're good at. Again, check my first posts and my most recent posts prior to this one and you'll see I've been trying to help out fellow FF players in the other forums.

I also see you seem to think it makes any difference that some catcher protested or that some NFL owners are unhappy with President Trump. Tell me again how many votes in 2020 does each of them get. Right, one, the same as everyone else. Liberals treat celebrities and athletes like they're special when they're not, except for some irrelevant talent that only matter because we're willing to pay to watch them dance, sing, catch a ball, etcetera.

Like I posted earlier, the last vote for a Republican I made before President Trump was for Reagan in 84. I voted for that POS Obama twice and it makes me sick. Fortunately, I finally came to the realization that while my views haven't changed the Democratic Party's sure had. If you're a Democrat you now have two choices, either you're in the Sanders wing of Economic Marxist or your in the Obama wing of Cultural Marxist. Class warfare or social justice warfare. F*ck that noise, I'm out.

You see, that's why I know so much about how you think and what being a Democrat is all about, it's because until a couple of years ago I was one.

Liberalism is a mental disorder but thankfully there is a cure, although in your case I think it's fatal.

Oh, fun fact, in 13 of 14 battle ground states Republicans have gained over 200,000 registered voters. 2018/20 are going to be bloodbaths for you liberals.

It used to be people stood behind the Flag. Now, the Nancy's and Sally's are against the Flag because Trump and the right defend it. The Flag was never a black or white thing. It is an independence thing. Sally's, blacks and flamers will kneel just to get attention. "I'm kneeling to show that those of us that want c0ck in ass are not being treated fairly"

Do it some other way. Don't kneel.

It's not related. What's next? Bulimics start throwing up in grocery store aisles because they want Sunday Ticket at a discount?

Six months ago, Id have confidently bet on a democratic victory in 2020.

Now? Im fifty fifty.

Sure, trump is a focking moronic disgrace to the office and the country as a whole. And he will face high democratic turnout from the young and the non white. Lots of ground troops for the left next time around.

On the other hand, god they just keep doubling and tripling down on this stupid faux outrage equality sjw nonsense. They have even alienated me at this point.

If it were a sane, relatively centrist republican, Id likely vote them over the dems.

Trump? Cant. Wont. Never.

Will be an interesting sh!t show as our society makes one more ever tightening spiral to the toilet drain.

I agree with most of this, except the "most divisive" part. Trump is a negotiator, and has started reaching across the aisle e.g. dinner with Pelosi and Schumer in efforts to reach agreement on DACA. Obama rammed through one of the most expensive entitlements in the history of ever with zero attempt to work with Republicans. In fact I can't think of anything he really tried to be uniting on. :dunno:

The sad thing is we waste all our time on this sh!t that is just smoke.

Where is healthcare reform? Tax reform? Immigration reform? ANYTHING to actually help the American people.

Infrastructure bills? ANYTHING?

But no. Not one damn significant piece of legislation whatsoever. Just a stream of attempts to rape the little guy on healthcare so that the masters can have an extra half bil.

Focking sick.

Did racist southern hillbillies put George Bush in office? Because I don't think those guys were voting for John Kerry. The southern states have been firmly red for a while. This past election was won in Ohio, Pa Wisconsin and Florida. Those states all went for Obama. Did they become racist all of a sudden? Your taking point doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

We obviously disagree with the job President Trump is doing but be that as it may.

I'm very well connected with political operatives in battleground states and your assumption that the Democrats would show up in force in 2020 is very much in line with what normally occurs. The losers of a Presidential election get their act together and make inroads in the midterms and have a decent shot of taking back the White House after four years but that simply isn't the case this time around.

There is a lot of internal opinion polling that goes on after an election and usually heading into midterms the party that lost the White House has an enthusiasm gap of +20 on average, only this time around that's not the case, not by a long shot. The enthusiasm gap number is currently sitting at +35 Republican. They say it's simply unheard of and like nothing they've ever seen before. It's being attributed to President Trump continuing to keep his base fired up and in fighting spirit combined with the complete demoralization of the Democratic Party.

We're seeing this in very real terms already in the record breaking pace that President Trump and Republicans are setting in both small and large donor fund raising compared to the severe drop off in all types of fundraising the Democrats are experiencing.

Whether the far left believes it or not, most "normal" Democrats, ones that still believe in capitalism, the rule of law and America, know that their party is run by some of the most loathsome and corrupt people on the face of the earth. They're awakening to the fact that everything their party has been accusing President Trump and Republicans of doing is not only a lie, but it's actually what their own party has been doing all along.

There is also a huge amount of fatigue in the Democratic Party due to their constant negativity and hatred. While you may dislike President Trump and he will certainly go after those he feels deserve it, his overriding theme is one of coming together to make America great again. It's a positive message whether you believe it or not. When someone is offering hate and the other hope it's not too hard to figure out which message is going to resonate with more people whose minds aren't already made up.

A few NFL players have been protesting and finally someone in authority called them out. The President, Donald Trump in fact. So Sunday when a whole bunch more join them what exactly will they be protesting. Racial inequality and oppression? Heck no, they'll be protesting President Trump for calling their teammates out on their bullsh*t. So basically just more of the same Trump hate they've been trying to ram down our throats for the past 24 months that everyone is already sick and tired of. They'll try and tell you this time is different and that he deserves it but people have already tuned them out. President Trump played them like a fiddle and tomorrow we all get to watch the NFL take a huge PR hit for listening to a very small minority of very vocal social justice warriors.

I voted for Obama twice and Kerry and Gore before that and don't feel bad about any of those votes. Fock G. W. Bush and Romney. I'd liked McCain in 2008 but his support of the war was a massive anchor around his neck, that I just couldn't overcome and was so burnt out with George W. Bush, the president I hate by far more than any other in my lifetime who was on his way out of office.

Nowadays though the Dems are a freak show. Keep making excuses for flag kneelers, trannies, and BLM and keep taking the side of thugs over cops and see how focking fast I vote Republican in 2020. Trump does have a bucket of deplorables, but Hilary's deplorables could fill the Grand Canyon.

Oh come on. The NFL may have a slight downturn going, but it is hardly on life support. It is still more popular and more viewed than any other sport. Probably more than any two of the others combined.

I think everyone here would agree I am much more connected to political operatives in battleground states. With that in mind, the enthusiasm gap number is currently sitting at +47 Democrat. Furthermore, I'm extremely well connected in the red states, and the enthusiasm gap there is currently sitting at -8 Republican. I am less connected in certian blue states, so that makes it difficult for me to forecast the totality of the country, but your information is obviously quite innacurrate.

Chicken and egg. Republicans responded with mutual disdain refusing to work with him and obstructing everything. Fast forward to Trump and the exact same thing but now it's the Dems are obstructing and all the members of Congress swap talking points with a old speeches from member of the other party six years ago..

I think the NFL is going to go a long way to hang themselves today. Just watched a bit of the kneel down in London. This is not going to play well in flyover country, which is basically everything minus the nutty coasts. Trump ain't gonna let up. This should be an interesting season.

They supported Bernie and or Hillary and bleed obama so there is your link

Also they don't stop talking about electoral college Russia and twitter

They supported Bernie as an alternative to Hillary...because of how he ran things...and his version is not really pure socialism either. People also realized many of his more socialist policies would never make it through this congress.

Hillary is not a socialist...not even close. Neither was Obama. So...there is the refuting of your "link".

Talking about his abuse of twitter and the english language means they don't accept the results or are challenging the election? The electoral college barely gets talked about...but none of it has been to challenge last year's election results. "they talk about russia"? By they...do you mean independent special prosecutor who was picked by Trump's own deputy AG? Perhaps if Trump and his team didn't want people talking so much about Russia...they should not have had so many meetings with Russia...then lying about all of those contacts and so on....

Failed again raider.

Confirmed...not a new poster.

And RP was a fake former democrat too...as if that crap is ever believable.

And you have never smashed a liberal argument...you only came off looking like an idiot troll very quickly.

I don't recall RP being a former Democrat, unless you are referring to HT, who is accused of being RP, but I never believed HT and RP were the same person.

I think the NFL is going to go a long way to hang themselves today. Just watched a bit of the kneel down in London. This is not going to play well in flyover country, which is basically everything minus the nutty coasts. Trump ain't gonna let up. This should be an interesting season.

Oh no. :wall:

What happened in London between Jax/Bal?

I agree with most of this, except the "most divisive" part. Trump is a negotiator, and has started reaching across the aisle e.g. dinner with Pelosi and Schumer in efforts to reach agreement on DACA. Obama rammed through one of the most expensive entitlements in the history of ever with zero attempt to work with Republicans. In fact I can't think of anything he really tried to be uniting on. :dunno:

Are you claiming ACA was rammed through with no attempt to work with Republicans? If so Jerry, you're better than that.

The bill was debated and amended for months. I see people who have complained about that...yet none of you say a word about the sham of a bill the Republicans are pushing through.

Im not saying the ACA was great...or even that it was some perfect effort or compromise. But they did try and work with the GOP...and it was debated and amended over and over and not just railroaded in like things were being attempted recently. Not even close.

Thus far...the Trump plan has been try to remove anything with Obama's name on it.

Infrastructure could have been a slam dunk. Its stuff both sides want.

What happened in London between Jax/Bal?

A number of players from both teams took a knee during the National Anthem. Then stood up with their hand over their hearts for God Save the Queen.

Yeah...you're connected.

And you believe Trump's theme is one of coming together? WTF?

People have called NFL players out for a while...Trump finally did it? haha...again...facts are not really working with you here.

They will be protesting the president calling them sons of bitches (calling their mothers bitches basically) and saying they should be fired. Seems a legit protest.

The hate is because of his actions...there was zero reason for him to make those comments...now you whine that people react to his crap?

BTW...that small minority you claim about the NFL...will likely grow because of Trump's words and his divisive nature.

Coming together... yeah...still funny
