What’s the weirdest topping you have seen on a pizza

Recommended Posts

I'm mostly just a pepperoni guy, but I had a BBQ chicken pizza last week. It's was cheese, chicken tenders, bacon, pulled pork and BBQ sauce instead of marinara with ranch drizzled over top. I'm ashamed to say it's one of the best focking things I've ever had in my mouf. Other then your mom.

I would never order that as I almost despise BBQ sauce. To each their own.

The one thing I love on pizza besides pepperoni is sliced tomato. Has to be the last topping put on so it can caramelize and char a little. Ummmmm.

You've got me thinking. I've never had corned beef on a pizza.

Sweetcorn is very common here in the UK. Sweet potato is common in Korea. Bison pepperoni in Montana. There may be more.

You have been caught, you are full of crap. Too many montana posters on here to slip that one through.

I make a corned beef and cabbage pizza for St. Patty's day every year. Mustard sauce instead of classic pizza sauce and the steamed cabbage goes on after the pizza is cooked. It's pretty tasty.

I'm thinking a little rye flower in the crust may be good.

My mom used to run a Godfather's Pizza in Bartlesville, OK back in '83-'84. She made this for me and my cousin one night when we were stoned/drunk and we freaked out at first. Once we settled in, we couldn't get enough of it.

Why would you do that?

If people elsewhere in the world like it then why not try it. I am not into eating food that other cultures only eat because of cultural tradition, such as Surströmming. However if a culture truly likes a food such as beef tongue tacos, menudo, or banana curry pizza, then yes I will give it a try.

I’m down for bbq chicken pizza now and then but usually I’m pretty safe with my pizza toppings. But pizza is life, so I’m not picky.

Godfather's was the bomb back in the mid 80's. :pointstosky:

Been away from Chicago for a long while, living in the New York City area. Pizza sucks in this area of the country. Sloppy weak "crusts" is the way around here.

So I buy a frozen Red Baron cheese pizza. Add fresh sliced pepperoni and sliced tomatoes. Bake until crispy. Add a heavy amount of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.

Not exotic, but way better than anything New York has to offer.

Chicago and NY should have a land war over pizza. Bitter rivalry.

 I would love to see that. I know NYers love their pizza. My GF is one of them.

Filthy was telling me about this pizza joint in DC that serves aborted late-term fetuses as a topping on their Pizza.

Nothing too weird. The enlisted club had a "dessert" pizza they would put on the buffet during MNF. It was essentially a Danish on pizza dough.

If you consider flatbread pizza, crickets would be the weirdest.
