Coronavirus - Doomsday

Recommended Posts

Speaking of masks, living in a (still red despite voting for Biden allegedly) red state, we are pretty much done with masks.  I hadn’t realized how awesome it was until last weekend when I drove 15 minutes not to a different state but to a different nation.  How did I do that?  Did I time warp with the time change?  No, I went to an outlet mall on an Indian reservation.  That tribe has decided that masks are mandatory inside.

What a focking PITA!  I was drinking a bottle of water (hydrating after my infusion the day before) throughout the trip, so I kept pulling the mask down, off one ear, completely off, struggling to put it back on.  We seriously thought about just driving down the road to a mall in the great state of Arizona, but we were too lazy and just finished our shopping.  Won’t be going back though.

Half the population, twice the deaths since vaccines have been widely available.

Masks are a great example of how people manipulate statistics to prove their point.

California has a higher Covid rate than Florida, look masks don’t work$#@!

A little while ago the stats were the opposite, look masks work$#@!

The reality is that every place is going through its peaks and valleys at different times and you can grab whatever point in time you want to defend your position on masks. :dunno:

Also, cases lol (and California cases don't even look that bad - but they probably test a lot more than FL).   Keep in mind Florida intentionally delays their death data by like 2-3 weeks.

Why are events like that mass casualty astro world concert allowed to go on in a pandemic? From witnesses they said it was shoulder to shoulder.   Where your feet stood they didn't move unless you were pushed by the wave of humans.  Hot.  People gasping for air.

Why are these events allowed?  We are in a pandemic don't you know?

I don’t see why this hasn’t blown up already. You KNOW that if Trump told people to “just ignore the court order and just do as he says” all the liberal media outlets would be playing this 24/7 and calling for impeachment again

and this is the second time that a court has ruled against the executive branch and he has decided to ignore it.  Checks and balances doesn't exist in the Biden admin

Are you getting pressure from work to vax?  I saw about 100 employees protesting a vax mandate outside of Mayo a week or two ago.

My company is not requiring the vax at this time unless the fed cuts off Medicare reimbursement for not requiring the vax. It is however charging a 1200 dollar a year penalty on our health insurance for non vaxed. They are taking religious exemptions to wipe out the 1200. Athena, GOD of  Wisdom and WAR has exempted me. Lets Go Brandon

I was talking about total from 6 months ago until now.   Florida had to kill 20k people (most of which was less than 3 months ago) to get where they're at now.

Nonetheless, California's recent 7 day average daily deaths has been around 80 - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/california/.   Florida's 2 weeks ago was about 50 - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/ - so really similar death rates technically even a little higher for Florida.  (Here is link explaining Florida's reporting delay - https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article255546896.html)

And California has performed 35% more tests per million population than Florida: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us

botcuck doesn’t measure freedom in his analysis.  Both Fla and Cal pale in comparison to New Zealand where there is not freedom at all. Cal was as close to total shutdown as there was in the US, FL as close to totally open. Florida has an aged pop, a great deal of whom have 2 addresses  and fled to the Florida one. Most skewed numbers in the whole covid narrative are Florida's.

Lol no.  If it was just that they would have had more deaths in 2020.  The crazy part about Florida’s numbers is the number of people that have died in the last 6 months after vaccines were widely available.  Don’t you agree that the fatties at least should have gotten the vaccine?

Kinda like Baker Boy said, we’re talking about now.  What shutdowns has Cali had in the last 6 months?  If anything, Cali’s shutdown in 2020 likely resulted in less deaths than there could have been leaving more vulnerable people that could die in 2021 (and vice versa for Florida which had been open for awhile), so you’d almost expect Cali’s deaths to be worse in 2021 vs 2020 (and vice versa for Florida), but it’s exactly the opposite.  Thanks (or no thanks for Florida, more on that in a second) in large part to vaccines.

You’re right, there are certainly some things skewed about Florida’s numbers.   The biggest probably being their vaccinated %, which counted snowbirds and Latin American tourists.  But their deaths only count permanent residents.  Maine has the oldest population in the country and one of the lowest deaths/million.

Shocker, Timmy and lod wrong again.

They only count "permanent" residents? Like to see a link on that one. Is it safe to assume NY does the same and all those other states that contribute to FL's pop?  Lots of immigrants out there.

https://www.tampabay.com/news/health/2020/04/12/coronavirus-in-florida-latest-miscounted-deaths-and-case-numbers/

Other states probably do do the same, but they don't have as big of a population that live there for like 1/3 of the year.   And really that's not the issue, the issue is they don't count the % of vaccinated the same way so it's not consistent.

No dumbass, not every fatties dies from this but the stats show that its overwhelmingly fatties and those with 2+ comorbidities. on top of that most everyone in the hospital for this has low vitamin D levels, confirmed by my real doctor, yesterday. It is a fact. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33512007/ I am loaded with vitamin D. Never hear fauci or the CDC recommend that do ya? NOPE.

I never said EVERY Fatty dies FROM THIS. You lose again because you misinterpret what is being said. Come back when your stats refute the above.

Fatties didn't need the jab juice. No one does. if everyone got early treatment like my new doctor would prescribe, then the # of dead would be in the few 1000 at most and that would be those who were on deaths doorstep anyway.

Florida didn't kill them. Fauci and the CDC did with their failed juice and stupid recommendations whic was to tell doctors to tell their patients to take some Tylenol, go home and if it gets bad, go to the hospital. The correct recommendations was to seek treatment upon diagnosis, with ivermectin, z-pack, etc. That is what my real doctor has been doing. That's what the real doctors around the country are doing. Real doctors still treat patients. Useless ones work for big pharma and assist in the killing by going by the CDC BS.

Explain why Florida deaths were so much worse in the last ~4 months than at any point previously then, especially since Desantis was doing the most encouragement of early treatment of pretty much any politician.

A few things.  One, my in laws used to winter in Florida, but technically they were permanent residents there, because the taxes were better than their point of origin (Michigan in this case).  So I would be wary of those numbers.

Also you mention Maine, we discussed before that states like Maine and Vermont have other interesting correlations, like mostly white, pretty much zero dense population centers, pretty much zero people go there who don’t live within 100 miles of the border.  :dunno:

Once again.  Florida deaths are "less now" because they report differently so their numbers are delayed compared to other states (sounds like they may be changing it back though).  You have to look back at least 2 weeks (probably more really) for accurate death numbers.

NJ has only had about 115 deaths in the past week according to worldometers (11/2-11/9).

From 10/19-10/26 Florida had about 360.    Over 3x the deaths, and yet Florida's population is less than 3x the population.    The 10/19-10/26 would have caught some deaths before the case wave had fully come down, but it's not accurate to say that Florida's deaths are way less than NJ.
