It's nearly a no-win situation.  If Trump keeps the White House, the loonies and their media will just ratchet up the crazy for another 4 years, making it impossible for anything to get done.  If Biden wins, we're monumentally screwed.

Over the past 3 + years the POTUS has proven he can still get things done even against overwhelming opposition from the left, even with the catastrophic effects of the pandemic we are still ahead of most of the free world in regards to liberty and Life.  I see no reason he cant get as much if not more done with another 4 years regardless of how hard the left tries to derail him

Whatever happened to the fresh air fund, where they take a kid out of the ghetto and send them to the country in the summer?  I don’t hear a lot about that anymore. Seems like it’s worth revisiting.

He's made some progress and I like most of what he's done or tried to do.  But, there are some major issues that still need attention.  This pandemic and it's aftermath could provide an easier path to back away from the global economy and tighten border control.  It also puts a spotlight on our current healthcare system and the need for a better one.  He'll need more support in the house to really make some headway in his second term.  Any idea how many seats the dems might shed in November?  I think I read that the repubs need to net about 20 or so?

I don't, I just don't follow politics that closely outside of major issues/news.

I agree, the major issues that need to be address will never get done divided as we are, Dems/Reps, but I tend to concentrate on things I know the POTUS can get done regardless of political posturing of the parties.

Manufacturing company in Minneapolis since 1987 leaving city after violent protests

A Minneapolis manufacturing company, whose plant burned amid civil unrest following George Floyd's death, is leaving the city after nearly four decades and taking dozens of jobs with it.

The president and owner of 7-Sigma Inc. Kris Wyrobek felt inclined to do so after he says he lost trust in public officials during the riots that plagued the city, according to Star Tribune.

"They don't care about my business," said Wyrobek told the Star Tribune. "They didn't protect our people. We were all on our own."

Good.

Go to a location where law and order are appreciated.  Take your taxable revenue situation to a better place. Let Minneapolis fall to dust....

Hmmmmmm...so just a thought. Here in Minnesota, unions, like the Teamsters, represent law enforcement. I wonder where they stand on this defunding BS?

I live in China for economic/practical reasons but deep down I have always known the country has major issues for a large number of reasons having to do mostly with personal liberties. You know what I'm talking about, you all are pretty clear eyed on China. I get a daily reminder of how stupid they are because every time I log into the internet, I need a VPN to access 2/3 of anything. Right now, they're being total sh*ts in Hong Kong as they have been for as long as I can remember in Xinjiang and Tibet. Mostly what I do, the money and lifestyle is good if I don't rock the boat, I I keep my head down, I just live my life, and interact with folks back home online. One thing that has bugged me is I want my kids learning liberty and freedom and democracy and a love of the history, culture, beliefs, and traditions of the US, not whatever bullsh*t they are getting taught in Chinese schools. I've always had to suck that up but I figure with so many Chinese friends that recognize how much BS the communist Party is and can see through their cr@p, maybe it's not hard to deprogram the nonsense.

Now,  I don't even believe they teach that civics stuff in US schools anymore, replaced with PC bullsh*t. What I see is that the US is going down the tubes. With candy-ass schools, anti-white racism and guilt shaming running rampant, LBGTQ bullsh*t everywhere, defunding the police and now the glorification of criminal activity, for the first time ever, I'm starting to think maybe I'm actually better off living over here and raising my kids here. This observation is a knife in my gut. We are losing our civilization out from under out feet.

I was/would be willing to fight and die for the principals the country is founded on and the country that I grew up in. I'd expect the same of my son were the conditions right. I honor the memories of generations past that made the country great. If this off the rails SJW bullsh*t takes hold,  it's a cultural disaster. President Reagan warned us that America is always one generation away from losing it's freedoms and liberties. Now, I loved Reagan but when he said that, I'd thought there was no chance it could happen, that he was being melodramatic. It's REAL and it's here. These SJWs are focking cancer. This is the critical time for the nation. America will be a toilet not worth a drop of the loyalty or devotion I felt towards it growing up. I don't recognize the place.

Between academia, the media, big tech, Hollywood, and the Democratic Party, they are a dumpster fire of disgusting ideas, persecution, and repression. The SJWs are in ascendence. They got that candyass mayor of Minneapolis to bend, they got the NYTimes editorial staff to bend, they got the University of Missouri president to bend the knee a few years back, and even the entire croooked insider Democratic leadership in Congress. It's crucial Trump wins this election and this left wing McCartyism moment passes and fades.

Not changing the rules of engagement for self defense and property defense if no cops are around. Jail for lot's of folks protecting themselves and property is what will go wrong.

In the unlikely even that she's telling the truth about black people being unable to call the police for protection in Minneapolis, the proper response would be to fix the system to make it so blacks do feel comfortable calling the police rather than taking away police protection from everyone in the entire community.

LOL at leftists.

I believe people in many cities are afraid to call the police. I truly do.

But not because the police will harm them. They know that in the "snitches get stitches" culture of the ghetto, their neighbors will turn on them.

I can tell you from experience, at least in NYC, not too many people are shy about dialing 911. I must of said a thousand times, if they hate us so much why do they keep calling us? On a busy night you can be assigned 20-25 calls a night. Divide that by 7 hours . 8 1/2 hours minus roll call, meal and end of tour wash up/ handing in reports. The radio never stops. I used to want to throw it out the window sometimes.

Yep, fock this city.  I think I'll continue working from home indefinitely and will only go downtown for sporting events and concerts.

Edit: interesting fact about the SPD... The worthless mayor of Seattle (lesbian of course) caved into pressure from black folks when she originally removed a black woman from the list of candidates when appointing a new police chief a couple years ago.  Not only did she put her back in as a candidate after initially feeling she was unqualified, she ended up giving her the focking job!  Carmen Best is a worthless chief of police but since she's black I'm sure she'll be just fine while everyone else wants the mayor to resign.

Defund police? Democrats lead list of those taking cash from police unions

The top two recipients of contributions from police groups in the Senate are Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. The top two in the House are Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-N.J., and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md.

So Seattle now supports vigilantism.    Good luck with that.  Eventually, police officers will have their fill and begin to leave.  Then we are left to protect ourselves.  There will be at first individual, and then group-based, retribution acts.  It will mushroom as areas devolve into gang-based fights for territory.   Sounds just.....amazing....

Capitol Hill - the area that the idiots "took over" - is the uber ghey neighborhood in Seattle.  The previous gay sexual predator mayor Ed Murray spent over $10K of city funds to paint crosswalks in Capitol Hill rainbow colored.  Enjoy the fabulous mayhem folks.

BTW, I'm not exaggerating about the predator part.  He eventually resigned due to reports of him sexually abusing troubled teens that he fostered.  Of course he called them all lies because they were junkies.  He eventually bailed once his very own cousin reported the same thing he had done to him.  Yep, Seattle has a history of great mayors.

The thing is, there are a relatively small number of these "problem" police departments.  There are plenty in smaller cities, many of which are suburbs of major cities.  It's not like you have to move to BFE to get a job as a police officer in a city where crime and race aren't such problems.  I know in Los Angeles a lot of cops get started with the LAPD and after a few years move to other departments like Simi Valley.  This is just going to make more cops want to make that type of move.

Can't wait for when the liberal Seattle City Council raises property taxes again to help pay for all this mess. All in the name of Justice of course.

I feel bad for businesses in Capitol Hill.  King County just entered "modified Phase One" which allows restaurants to start opening back up for dine in.  My daughter works at a small Russian dumpling place in a hipster neighborhood of Seattle (Fremont).  The owner has a 2nd larger shop up on Capitol Hill.  Thanks to all this justice he has been forced to keep that shop closed.  Not even able to do take out orders at this point. Too bad so sad for all the employees who were itching to get back to work.

Many of the cops in the Seattle area just got raises that were retroactive, so they are pretty happy to stick around for a short while. The reality is that the police station that was "taken over" was actually abandoned because they are hoping that the idiots tire themselves out and it was not worth the fight. Once the weekend is over, they will be out of there and some sort of order restored, but their city council is probably worse than Minneapolis'

Shocking isn't it...

She remains the perfect example of knowledge vs wisdom.

She came out of college with knowledge, in theory, but is ultimately closed-minded in that they taught her WHAT to think and not HOW to think.

Over time should could develop wisdom, but right now, she is strikingly ignorant.

Liberals can't stand up to ANTIFA. They just capitulate to everything and beg not to be excommunicated as they are cast aside.
