The Jews were actively engaging in a revolution as they did in Russia. It was White German Socialist vs the Jew German Communist. It had very little to do with a "superior race". The Bolshevik revolution was spreading across Europe and Germany stopped it. History glosses over this of course.

That wasn’t my question. I asked was she wrong, were they a different race? Are German  Jews and German non-Jews truly a different race? We don’t say that Aryans are superior, do we? We clearly state it is false. Despite that the Germans believed it, we don’t carry terms like superior Aryans into today. So, why then make her say that the Jews were a different race if it wasn’t true. 

Are Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Winona Ryder a different race because they’re Jewish? Or are they white?

I definitely remember that the Germans felt they were the master race. I just don’t agree that Jews are another race. They were killing people that looked exactly like them. Hitler looks Jewish. His closest commanders looked Jewish. The defining feature was their religion, not their biology, IMO. 
I incorrectly felt she wasn’t getting in the argument about the book banning because it didn’t “historically” involve her in a way that she was offended. She felt the deaths in the Holocaust should have been a trigger not a nude woman.

I watched it and I think you're right... but you're both wrong.  She did call it white against white and while that's hers and your "perception", it's wrong.  I think what this points to is black people thinking/feeling, that they're the only ones who can be racially oppressed, because you can't fathom the idea that Jewish people see themselves as a race.  You can't see that the Nazi's/Hilter saw Jews as a different race.  Because of that, you can't wrap your heads around that idea of another racial group being targeted.  She, and you, are perfect examples of being so brainwashed by the leftist agenda, that you can't see how wrong that agenda is.

My mom has a lot of books about the Holocaust. Also, I’ve watched many documentaries and movies about the Holocaust. I think the issue is what perspective are we taking? Similar to issues about child abuse and rape and sexual harassment-is it today’s view or yesterday’s view? When I was little it was a parent’s duty to discipline their child as long as the child wasn’t being abused. Spanking wasn’t considered abuse when I was a child. So, if today a person writes a book about their childhood and they got spanked do we view them as being abused or disciplined? Maybe the child (now adult) felt abused but maybe the parent felt like they were properly child rearing.

 So let’s bring the point back…Whoopi and I are black. We were raised in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, etc. We learned from our relatives, television, history classes and from experience that White people are a race, Asian people are a race and Hispanic people have gone through being a race and now an ethnicity. Jews have always been white to US. Italians and the Irish have always been white to us.
 

Yes, Jews like all the other groups have had barriers and I’m not trying to diminish their struggles but race affected blacks here in this country severely. We’ve had laws that prevented our freedoms since the founding of this country.
 

We weren’t raised in Germany or Russia. We are American. The history of Jewish persecution in Europe is long and sad. I just think we, as black Americans, see Jews as white and we see Germans as white. I understand that the Germans viewed them as a race but wasn’t that wrong? Wasn’t that just Hitler’s way of uniting other Germans against them? They aren’t really a separate race.
