Since you are somewhere far down the special needs spectrum, I'll comment for others who may understand.  There is a difference between a teenage girl swimmer publicly protesting and a 27 yr old woman mentioning to family and friends that she disagrees with it.  There is also a difference between a teenage girl swimmer publicly protesting and the Director of Concerned Women publicly protesting.  In fact, some might take the fact that many parents are thanking them as evidence that the parents disagree with the situation but feel helpless to do anything themselves.

I do think that the cultural issue is the battle that needs to be fought. It seems to me that parents being aware of and preventing leftoids from indoctrinating their kids into the woke cult is job one for any parent. They aren't getting anywhere near my kids. To me, making decent Americans un-cancelable, building up a parallel educational structure, tech system, media system, and entertainment, together with strong state government to insulate what's left us from suffering this rot is where all the effort should go. Hopefully SCOTUS greases the skids to make it possible.

 

You and I might have different approaches to parenting.  When I was a kid I was raised Catholic; that was the way and there was no discussion.  In HS however I started having doubts about the whole religion thing.  I couldn't talk to my parents about it so I talked to my favorite teacher.  He said that there is nothing wrong with questioning, that questioning leads to introspection and investigation, that such questioning may lead me down several paths over my life, that perhaps in the end I will find myself back with religion or spirituality, or perhaps not, but whatever the case my beliefs will be all the stronger for the journey.

I've never forgotten that and I try to incorporate that approach into my life and my parenting.  It is why I support the traditional liberal approach to education:  the purpose is to learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think (except in STEM, those bridges need to not fall down).  Teaching a person what to think is the Chinese way.  It might work out, it might not.  I'm confident enough in my intelligence to know that I don't know all of the answers in life, and that I won't always be there to provide my version of the "right" answer.

And some of the college kids did walk out on the whole thing and were openly disputing this. 

You are purposefully thinking they should not speak out against this because you are afraid that you are sending the wrong message. Which you are. I have spoken out against popular "messaging when I was in college and found that although some didn't like it, other's agreed. 

Dudes shouldn't be in women's sports. And if someone has kids in college, parents shouldn't be encouraging their kids to stay tight lipped on it if they believe that way and find themselves in a discussion about it. Their lives will not be ruined by doing so.

Agree completely. Hence my noting of this very element in my post.

Moreover, there are factions and groupings within the notional idea of "feminism" that likely mirror any other group;  from the reasoned to the borderline insane. 

That some of them are standing up to what is clearly wrong, is hopeful.  And perhaps those who are silently concerned will stand up, perhaps the actions of these select few help them overcome the fear of societies cancellation culture.

And to add to that I wonder if this ends up allowing these trannies to compete, how many more trannies do we get in these sports, and how many less actual young females in the future just decline to even partake in even being interested to learn and train in these activities. 

Where would the high school and college female athletes get the motivation to work their tails off just to never win if all this continues to be allowed?

We need to end this madness once and for all.  Amateur sports/Pro Sports teams are open to any sex.  Everybody competes.  World's fastest human could be any sexual orientation.  That's the only way to end the disparity between the sexes and all these gray areas.  The best  of the best only.
