Minor attracted persons

It's not widespread.

That is the goal though. But as long as they aren’t priests it’s no big deal.

My wife went to that highschool, she did not remember that teacher.

Apparently that teacher has a 30 year career at that highschool, so she would have taught when my wife was there.

Just wondering, since I know so many of you are against cancel culture, what if what the Superintendent is correct when he said:

Quote

"Initially I was shocked and horrified when I saw the video," he told NBC News. "Then when I heard that she was trying to be sarcastic, I felt bad for her. However, when the district's investigation into this situation helped me understand the full story, I have no doubt that terminating this teacher is the right thing to do. Any reasonable person that heard the results of the investigation would vote to terminate her."

Obviously hard to judge without the investigation, but if it was just a bad joke gone awry...  :dunno:

The term “minor attracted person” shouldn’t exist in the first place. Another example of liberals softening pedophilia up. They’re pedophiles. End of discussion.

Okay, so I'm putting HT down as okay for cancelling/firing people for bad jokes.

I didn’t even mention the incident. I spoke of the phrase, that shouldn’t exist. You’re ok with it?

Yeah, I just read this morning that they were discussing a particular book. And for 18 seconds she said what she said as an example I guess of groupthink or worst case scenario or whatever. That's really s***** if they did the investigation and even the kids are saying it was taken out of context.

I went back and looked, it was a HS class, so the kids were old enough that maybe it was as you describe.  I'd need to see the video (if there is one) to form my own opinion.

It depends. An objective of a society should be the minimization of pedophilia, I think we can all agree on that.  I believe the idea of the MAP label is to somewhat isolate the feelings from the behavior (pedo).  If some MAPs feel it is destigmatized in a way to seek therapy and not turn into a pedo, that's a good thing.

That being said, my guess is that the opposite will happen, and we'll normalize it like we have bestiality fantasies. :(

You present a reasoned analysis in the first part of your statement. And the guaranteed outcome in your second part.

It may be a bad joke gone awry but it is a dumb joke to try and make. It means someone has to be completely unaware of the current social climate.

student who was in Parker's English class at the time of the recording told the outlet that her words were taken out of context and that it was part of a discussion exercise related to the class reading of "The Crucible."

"She was expressing how it was ridiculous how we might not be able to call people pedophiles. That we will probably have to start calling them MAPs because it can be offensive to them. The class agreed," Ryann Ruvalcaba, a junior at Franklin High School, told KFOXTV.

Also as to the first part,  you would have to believe they could overcome the desire. I don’t. Just like no amount of therapy could make you unattracted to women. If people with different sexual attractions are, like we are told, “born that way”, then I’ll take them at their word. They should be put in an asylum type setting away from the population.

I've always found this line of thinking interesting.  If someone is ATTRACTED to minors, do you think therapy is going to change that?  No one has control over who they're attracted to.  We do have control over what actions we take based on that attraction, but the attraction itself isn't going anywhere regardless of what Fumbleweed may preach.  I have doubts about whether therapy is going to help regarding controlling actions though.  For 99% of the public you either know right from wrong, you don't, or you don't care.

As I understand it, there are actually different levels of pedophiles. Which I understand. I mean, there's a vast difference between seeing a 17 year old Megan Fox and sporting a chub versus seeing a 2-year-old in a diaper and getting turned on.

Therapy for the former, death for the latter.

Why therapy for the first? There are zilliins of hot 17 year olds. Just follow the law because a few days later when they turn 18 they are fair game.
