"His [Oz's] abortion answer though was bad in saying "abortion is a decision between people, their doctors, and local political leaders." Look if abortion rights is a big issue for voters that was about as bad an answer you could have."

 

Abortion was a major issue according to the exit polls in PA so that answer Oz gave was about as bad a response as one could have had.

I find it fascinating how areas of the nation react to the idea of abortion. If this helps nudge congress into action then great, make some law for gods sake and create the right.

- Northern PA girls: these are the women who will hunt and fish with you (might bury you in the woods somewhere if you get out of line). They are wearing their Carharts but underneath that they are hiding some nice curves and will definitely let you take them in the tree stand before deer season for good hunting luck.

- Central PA girls: As close as you will get to the midwest farm girls in the rolling hills of PA. They like to play cowgirl a lot- both in real life and in the bedroom. Many of them allow all holes in play as well. 

- Pittsburgh girls: Lots of liberal arts college girls who go to Carnegie Mellon and then just stayed there because they like the area. The girls who are not are usually Penguins fans who wear ski hats and hockey jerseys and are super cheap dates.

Oz was a bad candidate but Mastriano may have lost him the election with his no abortion / no exceptions stance. I’m sure that drove a lot of Dems to the polls and most people are going to vote party line.

Mastriano was crushed in Bucks County which is traditionally Republican leaning. And Fetterman did better there than Biden did in 2020.

Also, Fetterman went to every area in PA- even the blood red counties that the Democrats never win. His whole motto was "Every county, every vote." And because of it he did better in those counties than other Democrats before him. Didn't win- but shortened those margins.

Honestly- if he hadn't had the stroke he probably (relative to PA numbers) stomps a mudhole in Oz and is being talked about the coalition he built in PA as much as DeSantis is in Florida.

I took the camper up to a Penn St game last year to tailgate. Circled up with the rest of them over in the Walmart parking lot.  Great groups of people, friendly and welcoming.

One of them said to me "There are two things you find in Central PA, mind-numbing boredom and alcoholism...."  He was pretty funny....

Pretty much why you have a good chance of running into the "all holes are in play" girls there.

Penn State area is fun because it is just a long slog of a drive and then you hit Happy Valley.

PA is fairly friendly other than pockets of places. Even in Philly- you end up in like Rittenhouse Square or some of the old Philly areas- they will be your best friend 10 minutes into meeting them. Just north of Temple area- you are taking your life into your own hands anytime after dusk.

Without the stroke Fetterman curb stomps Oz. With a better GOP candidate, then he Republican party wins. It’s frankly amazing a candidate as bad as Oz comes within 3 points even with Mastriano weighing him down.

Rather than head up over, is it "seven hills" which is more of a straight shot I went further west up closer to Pittsburg area, I forget the route #, but it was more flat and just beautiful, only added maybe 30 minutes....but going down some of those incline hills is really "pucker time"
