shotsup 832 Posted May 4, 2017 Pass out drunk. Snore like a freight train. Wake up without alarm everyday. Only tired 1-2 days a week. Rest of the time
Old School 360 Posted May 4, 2017 I fight with bouts of insomnia. Pretty irratic sleep on most nights- So I work a full time job- then work a second job about 4 nights a week- sleep like a baby those nights.
rholio 339 Posted May 4, 2017 4-5 hours a night on average, usually need someone to wake me up. Sleep through an alarm without noticing a thing.
naomi 343 Posted May 4, 2017 Super rarely feel 'refreshed' like my 66 year old dad does most days, so I figure something is off. I thought it was normal to wake up feeling kinda tired. Soundness seems to really vary.
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted May 4, 2017 I am either dead to the world/passed out with no moving, or tossing/turning all night. Â I set my phone as an alarm, but my biological clock usually has me up 2-3 minutes before it goes off
Drizzay 645 Posted May 4, 2017 It has to be cold in the room, and I have slept with a fan since i was 7. The white noise helps me sleep. Â I could hear a pin drop 2 floors down, so i need something to drown out any noise.

tanatastic 2,061 Posted May 4, 2017 pretty well, I have also worn ear plugs for about 7 years now and cant sleep without them Few months ago I tried listening to ambient sounds with earbuds to sleep and really liked it. Now I never sleep without it and always listen to various rain sounds.

NewbieJr 540 Posted May 4, 2017 If I'm in bed at 10:10, I'm asleep by 10:11. There have been many occasions that I've sent my girlfriend a good night text and never heard her reply. And then wake up in the morning and see that it was literally one minute later. Every now and then I have to get up to pee around 3:30 or 4 o'clock in the morning. Other than that, I sleep straight through until my alarm wakes me up.

If i forgwt to pack them i need to have back ups because i will not sleep withouth them. Â That I don't like so much, plus the fact somebody could probably break in my house and I wouldn't k
listen2me 23 1,542 Posted May 4, 2017 awful, better sleep is currently trending to my top priority. I don't need tons of sleep, but quite often I will 2 or 3 nights in a row of 2 or 3 hours of sleep. Â I always envied a few friends growing up who could sleep anywhere at anytime.
MDC 5,891 Posted May 4, 2017 Overall pretty good. I'd say 4-5 nights out of the week I am asleep within 15 minutes of the lights going off and don't wake up until the alarm. The other two I may wake up middle of the night to pee but get right back to sleep. Â Exercise has definitely improved my sleep and so did quitting smoking. I don't sleep as well if I've been drinking or if I'm stressed.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted May 4, 2017 If I drink caffeine too late, forget sleep. So long as I don't drink it too late, I usually sleep great. Although these past few days I had major issues sleeping... then had a major panic attack partially because of it.... but slept great last night after I took some lorazapam! Brad GLuckman 518 Posted May 4, 2017 I can fall asleep anywhere at any time, which I think stems from being in the military. Im always tired though. My wife thinks I have sleep apnea, but I thought only fatties got that. Â

My wife thinks I have sleep apnea, but I thought only fatties got that. Â I am overweight (6' 2", 235) and have sleep apnea, but I don't think it discriminates. Fattiness may just exacerbate the issue. Â Cant hurt to go get the sleep apnea test. The affects of sleep apnea are devastating on your body. I never thought I slept that bad, but I was always tired prior to getting a cpap machine. Its like night and day for me. Plus, I think I read that if you have apnea, you get far less benefit from any aerobic workouts you may do....like your body is constantly in hibernation mode. jerryskids 5,206 Posted May 4, 2017 Overall well. Fall asleep within minutes of hitting pillow. My 49 yr old prostate usually wakes me up once to pee. Generally I get right back to sleep, although lately I've sometimes struggled. Sleep like the dead for most of the night but wake at a pin drop in the morning. Usually 7-8 hours per night. I went from being tired all the time to actually having energy for the most part (unless I totally short my sleep, hungover, etc) all the time. Its well worth the tradeoff. It took me a couple months to get used to the machine but its totally worth it.

parrot 789 Posted May 4, 2017 Used to sleep great but not worth a sh!t lately. Go to sleep fine but have been waking up around 4:30ish. 4:19 last night. Hoping it's a temporary stress thing, not age or sleep apnea related.

NewbieJr 540 Posted May 4, 2017 My wife thinks I have sleep apnea, but I thought only fatties got that. Â Spoke to a doctor about this. When someone says to him that they think they have sleep apnea, they have a few criteria they try to fill before ordering an expensive sleep study. First one is obvious. If you're obese. Second criteria is if your neck is 18 inches or bigger. And of course, they ask questions about being tired through the day or if you're a heavy snorer. I thought the 18inch neck thing was interesting but he explained that someone with a big neck usually has a more narrow passage way. Makes sense I guess.
