This is an inaccurate headline. It bans the sale of NEW gas powered lawn equipment, not their use. I’m indifferent to it. We need to get off carbon based energy for sure but the way to do that is to produce new energy sources rather than try to ban the old ones. But it’s not an outrageous proposal.

Really stupid. But pay attention, because this is the only type of discrimination white people are ever going to face in this country: not being invited to some party. The real discrimination, the serious stuff that takes place on a daily basis- involving economic disparity, education disparity, and most of all being treated worse by police and our justice system because one’s skin color is a darker shade- white people are privileged to be free of those concerns.

The funny thing is, virtually everything they are spewing in their fear-mongering rants is stuff they are doing. The left is the one trying to throw their political opponent in jail and subvert Democracy. The left is trying to use the force of government to make freedom-loving Americans afraid to speak. The left is the one using the feds to round up protestors and put in jail (concentration camps). It is the left who wants us to salute authority and bow down to der fuhrer (endless lockdowns, mandated jabs, mass censorship, propaganda media).

It is not available. Between 1880 and 1924 we had open immigration- albeit only from certain countries. Still if you were from those countries and you weren’t sick you could come here and be processed. There was no line or waiting list. Thats what I want, except that I want every country on Earth to have an equal opportunity. Despite what @Strike and others keep asserting, it’s what I’ve always wanted- my entire life. But I’m also very sympathetic to those who come here illegally. These are mostly good, mostly hard working people looking for a better life. We can’t take them all in as quickly as they come so I’m not opposed, now, to measures to stop them. When it was smaller numbers I didn’t care so much. But even now I feel terrible about it. I don’t see these folks as villains at all and it pisses me off that so many people, mostly on the right, do.

I don’t get this line of thinking. What if cars driven by humans are 85% safe? Why wouldn’t the driverless car threshold be 86% instead of 99%? Are you an AI bigot?
