More good analysis: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/31/business/trump-tariffs-higher-prices.html In essence President Trump is making the same mistake that leftists do when they call for austerity methods to combat climate change: leftists like AOC think the public is willing to accept hardships in the name of the environment. Trump thinks the public is willing to accept hardships in the name of nationalism. The public won’t accept either. The public doesn’t like pain in exchange for some nebulous goal. If you are a conservative reading this please understand: unless Trump can be talked out of these tarrifs all of the reasons you voted for him will be for naught. Everything else that he is trying to do, that you voted for, will be swept aside because these tariffs will bring about much misery followed by a Democratic landslide.

I enjoy it when @SaintsInDome2006 debates mooks like Twatadour. It's like watching the intellectual equivalent of David v. Goliath except in this version David has a sponge instead of a rock, and both his arms are broken. And he has low T. Probably a cuck, too, but I'm not into kink shaming.

I hate Spring. The temp swings suck. We've had temps in the 80's, tornadoes, thunderstorms and two blizzards all within the last month. Spring is the second worst season.

Yeah, he was a better-than-average president. His biggest mistake was running again and opening the gates for the MAGA scum to slip back in, which is tragic.

In your special 1 on 1 seshes with Jesus, does he tell you to insult other Christians and generally be a blithering idiot on a fantasy football message board?

Yes it does. It's a stark reminder to shove WOKE up your asss sideways and shizz out a Unicorn.

I'm not going to demand a link, but let's say that's true - that would mean 2.1 million paying into social security and income taxes generally. What you're describing are employed wage earners.

For such a smart guy, you sure have trouble with typing out coherent posts. What I'm saying is that I'll believe Hyundai and whatever other companies are going to make billions in investments to manufacture more parts and cars in the US when I see the factories come online and start employing thousands of Americans. Not a moment before. I suspect these promises are just ways for companies to stall until Trump is no longer POTUS. Remember the Foxconn debacle?

That’s some low stakes quid pro quo there. They should probe a former heroin addict getting appointed head of HHS in exchange for his endorsement!

It’s not like I expected Pam Bondi to pursue a criminal investigation: yeah, right. But her explanation for not doing so is so shameless it’s laughable: https://apnews.com/article/fbi-pentagon-attack-plans-petraeus-clinton-comey-3ab3773b2642abaf024d3a5f3eb66f4b She is already, by far, the most partisan Attorney General in our history. It’s not even particularly close.
