I think this needs to be addressed as well. There's information warfare going on that puts us into our cognitive dissonance bubbles because we have bifurcated into different media spheres. Half of America has left the MSM behind. Let me tell you why. We're tired of being talked down to by rich corporate elite pundits in New York and DC and their plastic soulless agenda driven reporters. We don't accept our jobs being shipped overseas. We're accused of being racists for being colorblind by the actual racists who read Robin DiAngelo and Ibrahim Kandi and changed the definition of the word 'racism'. We're tired of being told the rioters are the good guys and the cops are bad ones. We don't like Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln statues being torn down and media pundits who applaud and call Mt. Rushmore a monument to white supremacy. We don't like revisionist 'America is evil' history taught to our kids in schools and we react with shock at the 7000% increase in transgenderism in the last few years. We're told we have some skin color privilege and we know clear as crystal we don't. It's all bullsh*t and fake news. Transnational corporations embrace the leftism, academia, cr@p agenda driven movies and TV shows from Hollywood, even the dumb focking athletes in pro sports. Big Tech censorship of non-corporate leftist opinion is off the charts nowadays. So pardon us for being on the defensive and looking for news alternatives like Breitbart and Tucker Carlson; that's where reality takes ordinary people. We love America, our history and our roots and out culture and beliefs. The things we use to stand for (not racism, fock off). And nowadays normal everyday America is being assaulted by the a collection of sh*tbags: corporate media, transnational globalist Wall Street firms, and Antifa thugs that your side praises and embraces.

I brought Hillary up only in regards to the media's handling of claim of election interference. That's a conspiracy bauble the MSM wouldn't set down for four years even though there was only fake evidence for such a thing. They also speculated on mail vote suppression just ten days ago and also endorsed the accuracy of Christine Blasey Ford's memory 35 years ago at a party nobody else remembers and could provide no evidence or details. Meanwhile they won't go anywhere near the Trump election fraud claims that actually contains real evidence and over 70 at last count worn testimonies under penalty of perjury. It's utter hypocrisy, I'm getting at. They're running full interference on behalf of Biden*. I'm glad that you agree that if there is enough provable fraud to make a difference in the results of the election, that we should get to the bottom of it, which is all I can ask at this point. I believe there is enough in Michigan and trust the judgement of those that say it exists elsewhere too in a coordinated effort but I just don't have the mental fortitude to go through it all except the summaries (from partisan sources granted) for other states. The case will be made in court. Although Trump will never get a fair airing in the MSM, that's expected. Fortunately, they do't decide elections. Ideally the voters decide, but baring a re-vote, which I support as the best solution, I fear we'll be deprived of that outcome. I also agree that this unfortunate situation will further destabilized and divided either way. As to the last point, trust in the institutions, yeah, speaking for myself, it'll be dead with me if Biden* attains the presidency. Yesterday, I went for a long walk along the river here thinking about how this feels like a death in the family. I don't recognize the country anymore and Biden* taking office would mean the assorted establishment villains aligned against ordinary Americans: the international globalist elites, corporate hacks, the MSM, Big Tech, Antifa, BLM, the critical race theorists, LGBTQ radicals, the historical revisionists, fake police brutality agents, all celebrate the tearing down of the nation Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln built over the will of the American people.

There was once a time-honored tradition of "one president at a time", where ex-presidents would step aside from public life and let the current president govern. This tradition was broken in the past 4 years by Barack Obama. At key moments in Trump's first term, Obama would hold presidential-style pressers, acting as if he was the president, not Trump. He would deliver remarks and guidance. Now that we have crossed the rubicon on this issue, should Trump continue to act as president and deliver remarks on current affairs during a Biden administration (if Trump loses)? Or do we just allow democrat presidents to undermine republican ones going forward?

I considered myself a Democrat for most of my life. Back when they were (allegedly at least) the party of blue collar workers, the environment, the poor... I was behind that. Now they are simply the party of "no standards." Borders don't matter. We won't enforce that. Feel free to sh!t in the street. Oh, need to shoot up? Not only feel free, but have a free needle! Sure, just throw it in the park. Feel free to attack cops with knives, they're the bad guys anyway. Want to jack your kid full of hormones so they can pretend to be the opposite gender? How brave! A society with no standards isn't a society, it's a mob. And yeah, pound sand with the "white privilege" everyone's a bigot crap. I don't give a crap what color you are. I don't give a crap about you at all, and neither does the world. That's what the world is, always has been, and always will be. A struggle. Compete or die. Now yes, everyone should compete with equal opportunity. But beyond that? Sink or swim. And now, with the media and tech censorship becoming so blatant, it really is shades of 20th century totalitarianism. It's getting scary. Are the Republicans paragons of virtue? Of course not. They're the same "let them eat cake" corporate lackeys they've always been. And yeah, they have some pretty ignorant sh!t from time to time. But the left must be stopped or any America worth having is doomed. Not that I care, I'll be dead soon enough.

Do it. Life is too short to let a job make you feel that way. If you’re happy then so will your family.

I wonder, are there? Perhaps you can point to a locality where something did not burn. Then for fun, lets try to find someone who supports conservative/Republicans doing any of the repugnant things the left/democrats have done...

How ironic since your side was convinced of the same thing for the last 4 years. Now you're trying to tell me that it's THE OTHER SIDE doing it? Give me a break with that nonsense you hypocritical oaf. You f@ckers questioned the validity of Trumps 2016 victory FOR 4 F@CKIN' years and you have the audacity to immediately accept a Biden "win" that was called by the MSM and not the actual Electoral college knowing that there are still votes to be counted and legal challenges? Go pound sand.

They left because this isn't an echo chamber. If someone disagrees with you they'll let you know it. For some reason, you (MDC) are like a battered housewife that just won't leave. If you think they'll come back because Biden won... well we already know you're stupid. It'll be 10x worse because now WE get to go on the offensive and attack everything Biden does. They don't want that so they'll stay in their safe space.

Far far from over. Best case this goes on for weeks and Fox will eventually have to call NC and Alaska for Trump which for them is like Trump giving them a wedgie and getting hung on top the fence by the band. GA, PA, NV, AZ, WI are totally still in play. A ruling here, a ruling there and the landscape can go from desert oasis to oceanside resort fairly quick.

They know it’s bullshit. It’s like in a football game when the offense rushes to the line to get a play in before the challenge flag can be thrown.

So.... I have been working at an upper level position for 9 years now. I... am burnt out doing this current position. The first few years were great. Great bosses... a ton of new stuff to learn, which I really dig. The last 3 years... horrible.... new terrible boss. No mission statement or gameplan for anything... much more sh!t piled on as far as responsibilities all the while having less control over said responsibilities. Micromanaged to the point we all at my level have to have the big bosses spy on every one of our callsnto our "customers". I really have gone over from, "don't like this job anymore" to, "I hate this mutherfucker". I have anxiety all weekend long about returning to work on Monday. It's just a toxic soulcrushing place to work. I've worked my way up just shy of the max a civilian employee in the .gov can make without going into the senior executive service. A geekclub sized guarenteed salary. The paychecknis the only saving grace right now. Four years to go until I can retire @ 50 taking home what I do right now. We go off our high 3.... Thing is boys... I just despise having to do this 4 more years. Also.... I live in Vancouver, WA.... across the river from ultra focking looneytown sh!thole thst not only has miles of "urban camping", violent hipster anarchists, but the absolute moronic focksticks just essentially legalized heroin, meth, crack.. etc. It was a sh!t on the sidewalk jerk off on the corner, shootup on the curb place priornto releasing the fockimg floodgates andnpractically begging all the junkies to come to thr area for junkie mecca. So.... why tell you all that? There is a job coming open.... in Billings, MT. A place I've lived before... and really dig. Caveat... it's a demotion. Cons: Pay would go down about $19k a year... plus MT has state income tax of 6.7% so theres a big chunk as well. With only 4 years to go my high 3 will never be higher than they are right now... which honestly is still really good. So while I may missnout on raises for the next 4 years and my higher salary.. I'm set for high 3. Wife's job.... she makes a pretty good wage. She'd have to quit and whonknows how long would take her to find something. It mihjt be quite awhilento getnher salary back to even close what it is now. Moving the kids.... again. They seem okay with it... but sheesh. We really never put roots down anywhere. Good and bad.... Pros: I'd move to a different division as a supervisor doing something I've never done (well not the supervising part, but the actual type of imvestigations). Only overseeing 7 guys... as opposed to the 19 I have now. The new work would be exciting for me. I love learning new stuff. My son has expressed wanting to hunt. I can't do that out here very easily. But in Billings it would be easy... my Dads uncle has a hunting ranch 50 miles north... full of elk and deer. It's Billings.... in a red state... much more the tupe of society I want my kids to grow up in. Housing.... decent houses are about $100k cheaper right now. Also... I have about $60-80k in equity as thr marketnis so sh!t hot in Vancouver because the money is fleeing Portland. The move would be paid with peofessional movers.... all realtors fees paid. Moving expenses paid. Summary: Wifes all for it..... she works down town portland and has witnessed first hand the sidewalk sh!tting, jerkingnoff, pissing next to her waiting for the bus. Needles all over... fockimg filthy garbage and tents all over the sidewalks. I hate losing the money but sh!t boys... it'll still be a pretty big paycheck... I think quality of life and me not hating every focking day at work will make thr next 4 years go by in a flash. Thoughts? Is money worth it? I think that'd be the only thing holding me back. I could really give a sh!t about the loss of job title prestige. Seriously have never given a sh!t about that.

Money is important, but, and you alluded to this earlier, I’d value settling roots over any small bump in pay. IIRC you are in your late 40’s with later school age children. It’s time to pick your destination where you want to finally settle. Not “forever” but for the next decade.

Have we ever elected anyone president who was a career politician and got very wealthy while he was in office? There’s only two ways to do that. Corruption or marry money like John Kerry. Joe didn’t marry money. You don’t get mansions on a govt salary, even a senators.
  22. 1 point
Yes, all Americans need to trust our systems. If all legal ballots are counted and Joe wins, I'll do what I can to support him.
  23. 1 point
No. I haven't seen any of the allegations that Trump and his minions are making backed up by any evidence. The couple of things they have brought before a judge in an actual court have been thrown out with extreme prejudice for lack of evidence. USPS worker that signed an affidavit swearing he saw fraud reneged when questioned by law enforcement. None of this has any legs and claims to the contrary are wishful, conspiratorial thinking at it's ugliest. But Trump has won, make no mistake. Tens of millions of people will now be convinced that the duly elected President Biden is illegitimate and the election was stolen because they can't get off of Facebook or Breitbart long enough to engage in any sort of critical thought.

If the criteria for determining an MVP is the one player whose loss would be most detrimental to their team's success, Dak has made a pretty good case for himself... Wilson, Mahomes & probably Rodgers will jockey for MVP the rest of the year -- Wilson's early season could give him the edge, in the end. Ben? He's a good Comeback POY choice. I still feel it almost has to go to Alex Smith tho, on principle alone.
