12th Man 884 Posted April 7, 2018 Have a yeti, Ozark Trail (wal mart version) and an RTIC in the house. There is zero difference between them as far as how long Ive stays in the tumblers. They are all great. We Use them on our drives to Wisconsin for water. Have a can cookie for me that is the wal mart one and wife has an RTIC one and they are great too for cans or bottles. Cooler O have no need for one. One of the moms in my sons Boy Scout troop hasnt one and its great for weekend campaign by trips. Most dont need them and its almost a status thing for travel sports moms and dads. Good god speak English man.
Djgb13 2,339 Posted April 7, 2018 Usually liars forget the lies theyve told. This one also forgets when hes told the truth. You are a sad, retarded little man you know that? Like seriously. When someone says they wont be buying something but someone else buys it for them you are like *see! Liar! I told you! Im right!* when in actuality youre nothing but wrong and lying yourself. I think we all realize that youre the new liar on the board as well as a pathetic human being

Nothing more pathetic than lying about your brand of cooler on the internet. This is how I saw it exactly. It would have been different if he had said he never thought they were worth it until he got gifted one, now he realizes they are great. That would have been fine. But it was all the way opposite of his first comment, a dead giveaway.
MTSkiBum 1,625 Posted April 8, 2018 I still stand by my belief that high end igloos are the way to go. The two most important factors are having block ice as opposed to cubed ice and not opening the cooler unless necessary. A yeti cooler does not matter if you open it every 30 minutes to let in hot air.

MTSkiBum 1,625 Posted April 8, 2018 Or buy a Yeti and enjoy yourself as opposed to limiting how many times you can open the effing lid. You cheap bastard. You missed the point, the insulation is not the limiting factor to how long a cooler keeps food cold once you reach a certain price point. A yeti is no better than an igloo if the yeti is opened every half hour. The yeti's insulation is only a benefit if you go hours or a day without opening it. Sho Nuff 720 Posted April 8, 2018 The Walmart ozark trail brand are supposedly made in the same plant in china. At a 75% discount they may be worth a try. As mentioned earlier...I have one (as well as an RTIC and a yeti). The Ozark one performs right with them in every way in the tumblers. They have the coolers that look like yeti coolers too. No idea on their performance though. But the tumblers and can coozies are great. Ice lasts all day on our 12 hour drive to Wisconsin refilling the water as I go. One trip...we drove about 2 hours or so to a theme park...were there from 9am til around 6 on a hot day in July. Water was still cool. Not cold...but probably well over 100 in the car that day to still have cool water was impressive.

the s is ilent 69 Posted April 15, 2018 I have on old Coleman personal 24 qt cooler. It holds approx an 18 pack and ice. It fits in the basket on a golf cart. It only keeps ice for about 4 hrs during the hottest part of summer opened frequently. It's old, beat up, dirty and faded. It has a cam lock lid and the perfect size for my needs. It's my favorite cooler. Perfect for golf, fishing or the backyard BBQ. I think I paid $15 for it new and haven't seen any since. I protect it like it's a Yeti I have no less than 10 coolers of various sizes and this one is my go to cooler. It serves its purpose. Keeping beer cold. My son wanted to buy me a Grizzly for my bd for around $250 and I told him not to bother.
TimHauck 3,108 Posted August 21, 2022 This was a fun thread to read of digby owning himself per usual. But I agree with digby’s original position which he later made a complete 180 on. I’ve now had 2 Yetis that I’ve gotten for free (one from a work event, won another in a raffle). I don’t even think they hold ice any longer than a regular cooler in regular conditions (reading this thread, I guess my issue is actually wanting to take drinks out of it). And they’re not very convenient. The first one I had was one of the ones with the shoulder strap (Hopper?). When you put ice and drinks in it it weighs like 100 pounds so not great to carry. The most recent one seems more standard (Tundra), but the walls are so thick that the actual holding capacity is about half the size of the cooler. And no wheels or anything. Sold the first one, probably going to be selling this one too.
BeenHereBefore 1,559 Posted August 21, 2022 I won one a few years back and sold it. No sense keeping it unless I went camping and have plenty other coolers that work fine. Will say they are pretty neat looking though.
