Best Concert You've Been To

Recommended Posts

A few come to mind but the obscure ones are Luna (members of Galaxie 500) and Lee Scratch Perry. Neither are among my favorite artists, both put on awesome live shows.

A few decades ago, I saw Cinderella open for AC/DC. Both bands focking ROCKED. Easily the best concert I have ever been to.

Beastie Boys in a small club in downtown Orlando (called Barberella's in early 90's). The Check Your Head tour. Very small venue for a very big band, even back then. I got to slap hands with MCA while he was jamming. I think he might've accidentally spit on me... i still haven't washed that hand.

Speaking of Cleveland

Also, I love your taste in concerts. :headbanger:

Fock the Rush haters here. They can't seem to get past the beaks voice to comprehend how talented and influential they really were / are

The best performers were probably Toby Kieth and Carry Underwood. Both put on great performances and sang all night long. If you like country, I'd definitely recommend. The most fun I ever had was back in the day seeing Queensryche in their prime do Operation Mindcrime. awesome Awesome AWESOME. The most f'd up I ever was, was at a Stone Temple Pilots concert. It was a good show, and Scott Weiland was in better shape than I was that night.

Hmm...

Metallica And Justice for All tour...Alpine Valley Wisconsin was great in my younger days.

Foo Fighters at 328 Performance Hall in Nashville was great. This was early foo fighters...small venue, hot as hell, people passing out left and right. Bouncers handing out cups of ice and tossing buckets of cold water on those near the front.

And on a totally different genre...Billy Joel and Elton John together was a great show. 2 great showman and pianists playing a few on their own and then together. Good stuff.

Janet Jackson

Tool - only good for the sound which was awesome, other than the drummer, I felt like the other members could've been stand ins.

Thanks......those were the days when concert tickets were $5-10. And yeah, RUSH is and has always been incredible. I personally prefer 70's RUSH when Geddy's voice was a screaming banshee, instead of an old deaf Jewish man.

Fun version of Cleveland Rocks btw! :headbanger:

God been to a lot of concerts none really stands out

Heart: John Couger Mellincamp opened

Ac/Dc: several times

Rush: several times got stood up for a date one time remember sitting there with an empty seat next to me

Pat Benatar: at Stanford university

Triumph: great laser show lots of flash explosions I remember people throwing large firecrackers at the opening band's vocalist.

Management Threatened the audience with shutting things down before Triumph took the stage

Day on the Green concerts: several bands played like Foreigner, Loverboy, Journey

Jefferson Airplane

White Snake

Van Halen: in Oakland CA was being recorded for videos that later appeared on MTV. I am almost sure I saw myself in one of the videos as the camera scanned the pits in front of the stage. Difficult to say and wishful thinking with all the dark images of hundreds of ugly mugs like mine.

Crosby Stills Nash & Young reunion in 1999. It was a 9.9 out of 10. The only blemish is they didn't play Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.

The Florida Georgia Line concert me and my wife went to in Austin before we moved was pretty good. Between the different acts of musicians they had a magician doing street magic in the audience. Guy was pretty dam good and kept you entertained while you waited for the next band to set up. Then the guys from FGL were doing crazy things while they performed like flipping, tossing fire batons, riding around on the hover boards, etc. Concert was pretty good
