Voltaire 5,322 Posted June 17, 2022 19 hours ago, Utilit99 said: What is really important to the liberals is they ultimately get that seat back. No concerns about any of the actual policies from each candidate. Or that the people are sick of liberals and want a change. Some Democrats argue that Republican spending on Flores' race was effort wasted on a merely symbolic victory, however. While Flores is now headed to Washington to represent Texas' 34th Congressional District, that district has been redrawn to further favor Democrats in the November election. Flores defeated Sanchez in a version of the 34th District that President Joe Biden carried by four points in 2020, but the new Republican-drawn version would have favored Biden by 15 points. "Look, I think the Republicans spent millions of dollars to win a seat that’s going away. We’re going to win this seat when it matters," Rep. Sean Maloney, D-N.Y., who also serves as chair of the DCCC, told Politico. "You never like to lose, and I understand why people were upset by that. I think Republicans burned a lot of money, and we’re going to end up with that seat." While Flores is settling into her office now, she will soon face an election against Gonzalez in November to determine the fate of the new 34th District. Also Latina Flores is more smoking hot than Lantinx AOC.

RLLD 4,256 Posted June 17, 2022 I think Democrats assume they can spend their way out of anything. I am not sure that it true. To pull this off they have to find something that makes the voters forget how they have destroyed the economy, allowed crime to thrive and ignored the threat posed by mismanaged immigration. That is a lot to forget. Even if the media pivots and moves back into DNC propaganda bull horn, I think people are done with their lies.

Utilit99 4,099 Posted June 18, 2022 Jill to the rescue!! Inflation inflicting final death blow for Joe Biden’s failing presidency “We gotta go!” Jill Biden told reporters who were questioning the president about rising prices on his way to yet another long weekend at his Delaware beach house. Yikes. Talk about embarrassing. Just before Jill stepped in, the president was in denial about rising gas prices. “It should not be this high,” an incredulous Biden insisted on the White House lawn, with first cat Willow in tow. “They (oil companies) are making exorbitant profits, No. 1. No. 2, I’ve contacted them, my team has, to ask what their plans are …There are 9,000 leases — 9,000 — that they can drill … but they’re not doing it.” There was a number three, but Jill Biden intervened, so we’ll never know. What we do know is that Biden’s presidency is porked. ... Biden is trying everything to turn around his presidency, even resorting to giving a rare interview to the Associated Press, but that only made him look more out of touch. Biden insisted a recession is not coming and that there’s “zero evidence” that inflation was triggered by his $2 billion coronavirus relief package. Instead Biden blamed everything on COVID-19. “People are really, really down,” Biden said. “Their need for mental health in America has skyrocketed because people have seen everything upset.” Maybe what Biden really needs to rescue his presidency is a good public relations campaign. Baby boomers may remember back in 1974, when Gerald Ford tried to combat crippling inflation with the slogan, “Whip Inflation Now ” — complete with “WIN” buttons that people were supposed to wear. Sure, that’ll work. Never mind that the “WIN” campaign was described as “one of the biggest government public relations blunders ever.” Biden will take whatever he can get. Maybe he can spend some of that COVID relief money to hire an advertising firm to come up with a new campaign. How does “People are really, really down” sound?

President Biden once took a swipe at Donald Trump over how his predecessor walked down a ramp at West Point — ironic in light of his own stair stumble on Friday. “Look at how he steps and look at how I step,” Biden said in September 2020, referring to the former president gingerly walking down what he later called a “slippery” ramp after delivering a commencement speech. “Watch how I run up ramps and he stumbles down ramps. OK? Come on.” But Biden’s words came back to bite him Friday, when he was caught tripping up the steps of Air Force One not once but three times before fully recovering.
