One upside to the coming recession is that gas prices will fall.

and... we've always been at war with Eastasia.  I mean seriously, you cannot listen to that and have this opinion, let alone with such righteous indignation, unless you think 1984 is a how-to manual.  :(

Biden Administration Signals Support for Controversial Alaska Oil Project

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration took a key step toward approving a huge oil drilling project in the North Slope of Alaska, angering environmental activists who said allowing it to go forward would make a mockery of President Joe Biden’s climate change promise to end new oil leases.

No matter how bad he is, and he is pathetic, useless, and foolish, I still maintain that he's less awful than 90% of the candidates that ran in the Dem primary against him. Greasing the skids to get rid of him to clear the way for Kamala* would be a mistake. For how nuts he is, there's plenty more whackadoddles behind him pushing for things to be even worse that he keeps at bay (when he's not napping).

That project is pretty big, it includes a new airstrip which means it has to be an hours drive from one of the other mancamps.

I am shocked that ConocoPhillips wants to invest that much in the north slope. I would think the paypack time would be a decade or more given the amount of infrastructure required.

I also find it funny that this project was approved. It will do nothing to help the current oil prices. How many years until they even pump oil, 5 years?

I don't think it was approved per se; I think the new study was required in the process of doing so, so the opponents see it as a bad sign.  But they left open various scenarios including zero drilling.

It actually strikes me as a shrewd political move -- give the illusion of trying to help the fuel situation, while simultaneously telling the green folks that it will never happen.

Exactly. This is disgusting. They get upset when people refuse affirm that this sort of thing is OK or that people would object at the notion of having a "family friendly gay pride parade" in their community.

Ignoring mean tweets and gruff personality Trump's policies are exactly what this country needs.

It's hard to believe this has to be said, but unlike this president, I’ll do my job and take responsibility. I won’t blame others. And I’ll never forget that the job isn’t about me — it’s about you.

— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) June 4, 2020

Republicans are doing nothing but obstructing our efforts to crack down on gas-price gouging, lower food prices, lower healthcare costs, and hopefully, soon, lower your prescription drug costs.

This is not right. And that’s why this election is going to be so darn important.

good job adding it to the Joe Biden thread though

i'll repeat what Taylor Green said for you.

"This needs to be illegal."

And to add to it, gay pride parades in other countries, along with the US, have proven to be over the top disgusting.

President Biden mistakenly said the mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, happened more than a century ago during a speech Monday celebrating the passage of a bipartisan gun bill.

"Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, 1918, 17 dead, 17 injured," Biden said while advocating for red flag laws, which he argued would have stopped the Parkland shooter.

While we stare at 9.1% inflation today, remember that the Biden admin wanted an add'l $3.5-$5 TRILLION in spending with the build back better boondoggle.

Had they gotten the build back better plan, where would inflation be now?    12%?   15%?   20%?

These dopes have no idea what they are doing.   I am not a religious person but I may start praying that the Dems get wiped out in November like Anakin Skywalker light sabering a bunch of young Jedi's. . .

there is a graphic going around listing all of Biden's "accomplishments" to refute how awful of a president he is.  Most of the items on the list are earmarks, stimulus and other forms of funding which is just highly inflationary.  Even now, some democrats propose stimulus programs and free money to help people that are struggling to counter rising prices LOL.

I think Biden needs to make it to the 2024 and we need another set of democratic primaries.

He can't run again, and Kamala Harris is the worst vp pick he could have made :(

None of that changes what I said regarding June's jobs report.

Nice try junior.

He didn't pick her, the democrats needed a black woman on the ticket and she had name recognition.  Although they hated her then and hate her now. They will still vote for her.  Biden was right about not caring about polls except the one that says 90+% would vote for him in 2024.  Of course it may be wrong.
