How much water do you drink per day

I always thought I drank a good amount of water per day (I didn’t). When I started paying attention I realized it wasn’t even close. I now drink a minimum of 72 ounces water.

A little more than 2 liters. 
 

If I get little headaches after drinking alcohol I know I’m not drinking enough water.

No enough for sure...  The only time I will drink water is after working out, yard work, playing sports or like this past Monday when I went on a college tour with my son and it was like 95 degrees out...

After that, I don't touch it...  Just never been a fan to just drink it to drink it...

I used to drink more than I do these days.  I should try to get back to that.  I never count but I would say around 40-50 oz a day of pure water.

I count when at my desk. Have a water cooler and 12 ounce cups (fresh cut lemons in refrigerator as well). I collect the cups during the day to keep track. 
What I drink at home after work is not tracked and considered bonus water.

probably up around 72oz. at least 4 of the 16oz bottles a day.

i only drink water, beer, whiskey and milk.

I would estimate between 60 and 100 ounces on an average day.

More on the weekend when I am drinking beer as well. Like bufordT stated, it helps prevent hangovers.

I try to stay properly hydrated but it’s tough. If I’m mindful probably at least 72 ounces per day, which I’m sure is still not enough

I try to drink a gallon a day (128 oz), largely because the chemo makes my body work hard but it’s good for you in general.  It’s hard for me to swallow (heh heh) so it is a bit of an effort.  My Garmin watch has a convenient tracker with buttons for 8, 16, or 24 oz; I usually do 16 oz increments, or 8 glasses.  I don’t care as much about the absolute amount, but the tracker lets me know if I’m falling behind pace.  

The recommendation I’ve heard is 1/2 in ounces of your body weight in pounds.  So for most of you fatties over 250 it’s still around a 128 oz.  :thumbsup:

Damn. I thought the recommended amount was 60 ounces- not that it was based on body weight- I’m not 120 pounds so if true I am certainly under hydrated

I tend to drink a lot anyway. Especially with meals. Which is why I stopped drinking soda. I could easily go through 3 cans during 1 meal.

When I'm working, at least 4 liters. I sweat like a beast around here though. I'm sure I'm chronically dehydrated. 

I never thought of this before. Do people ever say they are chronically high? :dunno:

Remember the footage of the highway that went from Bahrain to Iraq? And how the Americans just blew the holy s*** out of it and anything on it? Yeah, that's what a scan of my esophagus looks like. So I drink ice water constantly. It's the only thing that helps.

I would think milk would be better. Coat the esophagus and such.
