Recommended Posts

Baldwin deleted his twitter, so did his wife, on the run?  Charges pending?  Will twitter comments be used in the charges filed?  I don't know the answers but he acting scared of the law right now.

I saw a clip of him this morning on Univision's ¡Despierta América!

Honestly, he seemed to be fake crying (squeezing eyes and wiping away non-existent tears).

Has LeBron James chimed in yet that he probably just ate some lemon heads?

LeBron of course chimed in on the Rittenhouse case saying he wasn't crying on the stand and they he ate lemonheads candy instead.

Oh, I see. Well, I hadn't heard of the remark and I certainly didn't make my comment due to LeBron or Rittenhouse. I really watched him and thought it wasn't very sincere. Let me further state that, I think he clearly has gone through severe trauma, shock, fear, regret...all those feelings. I also think that a he may feel a pressure to "act" stereotypically sad for the public. We've seen in the past that a person who really just acts normal even though they may feel a lot of pain inside is punished for not behaving in a manner that doesn't appear like your constantly grieving. (Dingo baby in Australia.) But I also think forced tears is dishonest and unnecessary.

“What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court,” James tweeted.

For anyone still interested in this case, the guy who won't turn over his cell phone to investigators wants to get to "the truth"  to honor the woman he killed:

I just wish he would be thrown in prison for a long time. He killed a person.

Warrants are out for Baldwin's phone and he insists he is complying with the investigation......yet won't give up his phone.

Maybe if you follow his Twitter, there's a backstop there? Either way, all these celebrities are just pathetically self-obsessed. This guy killed a woman. I don't care if it was an accident or not. Any normal, decent human being would just comply with the investigators and lay low. It would weigh on their conscience. This narcissist is putting out twitter videos because he needs, desperately, to remain in the spotlight.

Yes.  Even if this was a complete accident, which is might be,Alec Baldwin still remains to portray himself as a self absorbed a-hole.

These Hollywood types are so far removed from every day person.  Much like D.C.  today.

Baldwin was acting/rehearsing a scene in a movie which called for a gun. The gun given to him was apparently loaded and someone got shot. Terrible accident. Props people could be in trouble, but the actor.?.

There must be more to it. Why is Baldwin acting weird about it? Why did investigators take his cell phone? What am I missing?

:dunno:

There is 14 pages of discussion about that incident, in this very thread and including links, that answers all of your questions.  I suggest you go back and read it.

Because, apparently anywhere but on the film set, being told a gun wasn't loaded doesn't absolve you if you play around with it and shoot someone.

Going back to the defamation lawsuit against him...he's always been a d!ck. He's an idiot for sharing that photo to 2.3 million followers. There has to be repercussions for these "celebrities" that use their fame to do sh!t like this and make political statements. I mean, we were all over Trump for his mean tweets, but these actually show PROOF of what he said and did, and she got death threats and all kinds of stuff. UGH.

I remember reading about him years and years ago about what a terrible person he was - I had a to Google, but a LOT of abuse allegations from Kim Basinger and one of Alec's daughters also alleged that he beat her (his daughter).

So... you're essentially saying 'Baldwin wasn't on the film set when the shooting occurred'  ??? Where was he?

Why won't anyone just say exactly what happened and why it means Baldwin broke the law?  I don't like the guy either, but it sounded like an accident due to negligence from the props people.?.

I was saying in any other situation, if someone pulls the trigger of a gun they were told was unloaded, they still have some legal responsibility if it fires and hurts someone.

The investigation is still ongoing. We don't know all the details of the incident. I've seen some reports that Baldwin wasn't supposed to fire the gun in the rehearsal, and he's said didn't pull the trigger (which is a very dubious, but not impossible, claim). If he sent or received any text messages about the rehearsal, it could back up his story, or refute it.

Alec Baldwin Moves to Shield Himself From Liability in Deadly 'Rust' Shooting

The actor, in an arbitration demand, blames the movie's armorer, assistant director and the man whose company supplied supplied ammunition to the production of 'Rust' for the incident. He says he shouldn't bear any financial responsibility.

Alec Baldwin on Friday moved for his fellow producers to bear his legal fees and other financial costs from the fatal shooting in 2021 on the set of Rust that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, claiming in an arbitration demand that his contract insulates him from liability.

The target of multiple lawsuits since he shot Hutchins in October, Baldwin blames the movie’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed and assistant director Dave Halls for assuring him that the gun he was given was not loaded with live rounds. He says it wasn’t his responsibility to check.

Hutchins's widower, Matt, gave his own interview two months ago and told NBC News he was "just so angry" watching Baldwin's interview back in December. Baldwin talked "about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her."

"It almost sounds like he was the victim," Matt Hutchins told Hoda Kotb. "Hearing him blame Halyna in the interview and shift responsibility to others and seeing him cry about it, I just feel like, are we really supposed to feel bad about you, Mr. Baldwin?"

No criminal charges have been filed yet, although officials say the investigation is continuing.

Didn't Baldwin say at some point after the manslaughter he committed that he wasn't even there?

FBI finds weapon in deadly 'Rust' film set shooting could not be fired without pulling the trigger.

FBI testing of the gun used in the fatal shooting on the movie set of "Rust" found that the weapon handled by actor Alec Baldwin could not be fired without pulling the trigger while the gun was cocked, according to a newly released forensics report.

Baldwin had the gun while rehearsing a scene of the Western film at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico in October when a shot fired, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

In December, Baldwin told ABC News he never pulled the trigger of the gun that shot Hutchins. "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger," Baldwin said.

The report found that the gun, a .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt) caliber F.lli Pietta single-action revolver, "could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger" with the hammer cocked at the ¼ and ½ positions. It also found that when the weapon was fully-cocked it "could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger while the working internal components were intact and functional."

Don't think this will come as a surprise to anyone, except maybe Alec.

To be fair, guns are bad so they must e able to shoot themselves.

What if it never reaches the cocked position and the hammer gets let go early?  Regardless, if he pulled the trigger (and doesn't remember or is lying) or not... I don't get any of this. He was handed a gun to rehearse a scene.  Do people think he secretly put a live round in the chamber in order to kill people during rehearsal?  It doesn't make any sense.

And what exactly came out of the gun?  Was she killed with a live round, or a rock stuck in the barrel or what?  Have they released the autopsy?

Baldwin is a creep, but it seems like a freak accident. At least by him. Whoever handed him the gun has some explaining to do.
