The complaints were about the manual moderation that always resulted in the censoring of conservative views and/or news, such as the Hunter Biden laptop story in the middle of a presidential election. If Twitter deletes all tweets related to a story, how is their algorithm going to "amplify" that story? Hint: It's not. As an example of the above, a few years ago Kathy Griffin posted a picture of herself holding a decapitated Donald Trump head. Was she punished for doing so? No. Fast forward to today. She impersonated Elon Musk on Twitter, a clear violation of their TOS, and got her account suspended. That's all us non lefties have been asking for. Either enforce your TOS or don't, but whatever you do do it consistently.
RLLD 3,455 Posted November 7, 2022 I would prefer the act of cancellation not continue, that is one thing I hope Musk reconsiders. I think Kathy Griffin is a vile human and speaks hateful rhetoric. But I am assiduously opposed to silencing her.

They've just not enforced it, or at least not enforced it consistently. I'm fine with them having a TOS to keep things sane and civil, and enforcing that. I'm not ok with how they've enforced it against one set of viewpoints in the past. If they start only enforcing it against libs you'll see me complain about that too. But there's nothing wrong with having standards and enforcing them.

When I prove you wrong in the Covid thread it’s sarcastic comments about “I bet you have a tweet and a graph about that?”… Now it’s criticism because I don’t work for twitter and have their data about who gets suspended. However, Musk himself has commented about the frequency of people impersonating him, so he seems to have an issue with it. Now kindly fock off

HR needs to terminate the employee from the role, and then create a new role and rehire if that is what the company and the candidate agree upon. It can even happen for people who are simply offered another role in the company that is higher paying position that has yet to be created in the system. Terminate and hire back. My old company did layoffs earlier this year. They ended up hiring several people back but hadn’t planned to, they only did it because a bunch of the people they didn’t lay off left on their own shortly after (which may be what’s happening with twitter). I've been in two companies which were acquired, and in each case the acquiring company bent over backwards to welcome us. Although, in both cases what we offered was unique and of significant value to the acquiring company. More typical in that industry was for sales people like myself to hook on with the mainstream sales group, or find themselves out of a job.

He has been acquiring companies to keep things rolling, but that’s not a long-term strategy. Then he decides the “future” is everybody strapping VR screens to our faces? He lost his mojo years ago, and the company has been a dead man walking for a while.

TBF- his larger message was that having one party in sole power is bad so he was encouraging voting for Republicans to balance out the Democratic president. That is sort of just rooting for political gridlock I suppose- but his quote is longer than what is tweeted there.
