Philip Rivers to Jets?

Philip Rivers said when he retired hed be willing to come back if a team needed a QB.  Maybe he wouldnt play a full season, but hel out for a playoff run.  In the video, they mention that Kyle Shanahan was going to call on Rivers to quarterback for the super bowl had they got past the Eagles in the NFC title game last year.  His name is popping up again here for the Jets.  I could see a scenario here where the Jets start Zac for a while but if it doesnt go well, they give Rivers a call in a couple months.

I see no downside to getting an older, less mobile QB to play behind the Jets offensive line.

the funny thing is, when the Jets drafted Wilson I said he looked like a young Rivers.  Very punch-able face.

on the downside, he is a statue. On the upside, I trust him to keep them in games way more than Wilson. Rodgers is till part of the team and can still continue to teach Zach. 

Last season I was surprised they turned to Mike White rather than using Flacco more. I think they fell into the Mike F'ing White nonsense instead of realizing he did the same thing in 2021... 1 great game and then mediocre play.

Imagine Brady going to Gillette Stadium in a Jets uniform. If Brady signs with the Jets, I'd be at risk of dying from lack of oxygen due to uncontrollable laughter.

I’m 49 years old and have been watching the NFL since I was 11.  Wentz is the worst QB I’ve ever had to suffer watching.  

And that includes watching Curtis Painter start 8 games in 2011.  He is incapable of making winning decisions.
