Many times. Lots of films I'm interested in seeing that the Mrs isn't. Additional benefit is that she can't be pissy with me when I smoke a bowl before the movie. I've spent a day going to multiple films alone and think people that refuse to do so are missing out. I've never understood that reluctance.

Got laid off from a job with a nice severance so took a few months off before even looking for a new job.  During that time I went to the afternoon movies a number of times.  It was great.  Usually no one else, or maybe 1-2 people, in the theater with me.  Good times.  Other than that, don't remember ever doing so.

Yeah playing hooky from work a few times. Saw the new Star Wars with daisy ridley, that was fun.

In my younger days I went and saw The Ring by myself while killing an afternoon until a friend I was visiting was off from work. I was the only one in the theatre  That was scary

Went to a midnight movie after work to see High Fidelity. Pretty good but John Cusak has become a nut. TDS takes its toll.

Ive seen 2 movies by myself and one was Crank with Jason Statham. It also sucked very hard. Shocker I know.

In May 2003, I was on a business trip where I had some company training that was on 2nd shift. To occupy myself during the day, I went to a movie theater that was in walking distance of my hotel. In 3 consecutive days, I saw:

The Matrix #3 - theater was about half full. The movie was meh. I never got into the Matrix thing

Identity - a handful of patrons in the theater. The movie was pretty good. John Cusack and Ray Liotta were in it..suspenseful.

Holes - not what you think, you sick focks. Shia Lebouf and a bunch of other juvenile deliquents have to dig holes in the desert to find a buried treasure for Jon Voight and Sigourney Weaver. I was literally the only person in the theater. I left to take leak halfway thru the movie, and I was half surprised they kept the movie going when I got back to my seat.
