2 pointsIt wasn’t McConnell who came up with the idea to tie the two together. It was the House Republicans led by Mike Johnson, with the approval of Trump. They attempted to tie the two together because they never expected Biden to agree. Now that Biden is willing to make concessions they have abruptly changed their minds because Republicans don’t want a deal on immigration. They don’t want to fund Ukraine either but they’re terrified of a vote on that.

2 pointsGTFO, you dumbfuk. You have drowned yourself in the most massive cherrypicking of videos putting January 6th in the worst possible light. The vast majority of people who entered the Capitol did so peacefully. But dumfuks like you think they all violently beat their way inside. You are a lying turd.

1 pointIf it is true, that asking to not make stupid mistakes is too much to ask.....then we really need to keep you and your ilk out of power where ever possible. Harming people you pretend to care about is sick.....just focking sick.....

1 pointBiden's words had ZERO impact on the market. Words don't impact energy prices, actions do. Trump's bungling of covid did. I provide as evidence the massive reduction in refinery capacity that you continue to ignore. You sir are not an honest debater.

1 pointJust telling you how it was in NorCal in the mid to late 80's. Mods rode vespas and hung out with the trenchcoated goths. They all hung out together listened to the same depressing music. Maybe they were confused about what they were. I wasn't part of that crowd. I had friends and played sports. But I listened to everything from The Smiths to AC/DC to David Allen Coe to Dead Kennedys to The Doors to Johnny Cash to Sigue Sigue Sputnik to The Clash to Peter Tosh to The Dead Milkmen.

1 pointA mod/goths connection: . The only 2 bands that would be considered mod and actually got radio airtime then were The Who & The Jam . The Jam breaking up was a real kick in the nuts to me Emo /ˈiːmoʊ/ is a rock music genre characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics. It emerged as a style of hardcore punk and post-hardcore from the mid–1980sWashington, D.C. hardcore scene, where it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore. The bands Rites of Spring and Embrace, among others, pioneered the genre. In the early-to-mid 1990s, emo was adopted and reinvented by alternative rock, indie rock, punk rock, and pop-punk bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker, Cap'n Jazz, and Jimmy Eat World. By the mid-1990s, Braid, the Promise Ring, and the Get Up Kidsemerged from Midwest emo, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the genre. Meanwhile, screamo, a more aggressive style of emo using screamed vocals, also emerged, pioneered by the San Diego bands Heroin and Antioch Arrow. Screamo achieved mainstream success in the 2000s with bands like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Thursday, the Used, and Underoath.

1 pointThe security of our borders shouldn’t have to be negotiated. There are laws in place. And it’s the job of our federal government to secure it. How about enforcement of the laws that exist and see how it works? No negotiations necessary.

1 pointThere were no mistakes, you bunch of Nancies. Our economy nosedived into the sh1tter with COVID. Worldwide pandemics will do that. Even if the government had done nothing people would’ve stayed home. But the government did great stuff instead. They got the vaccines out at unbelievable speeds. Yes that was under Trump. They pumped tons of support into the economy to keep it afloat, yes that started under Trump too. Trump deserves lots of credit, problem is his own stupid ass didn’t want it and tried to turn around and sabotage his own efforts But I digress on Trump. Then in came Biden and he had to keep the money flowing until we were in the clear. But oh, what’s this? Turns out pumping a bunch of money into the economy creates inflation. Yeah no sh1t. So you figure out how to tame it as best you can and get yourself on a glide path towards normalcy. It’s a pretty huge task, really. One I’m not sure anyone has pulled off, really ever. But it seems we did it. There was no great economic crash. There was no huge delayed recession, as everyone thought there would have to be. Inflation was a huge annoyance for a while there and I’d still higher than ideal, but it’s come down slowly and surely just as planned. This has really been quite incredible. We should all be pointing at this and saying “see, even in this era of insane hyper partisanship, we can still do great things! USA! USA!! “ But instead everyone wants to make up a bunch of bullsh1t for political gain. Oh well. I guess that’s the way it goes — but that’s all it is, a bunch of fucking bvllshit

1 pointLove him or hate him the man is a great football coach from a family of coaches. Chargers need a HC like this. Finally. When I watch his interviews not sure why anyone would dislike him, he never really says much and always goes out of his way to compliment his players and staff.
